A quick talk about the Mod Manager and your feedback
DESCRIPTION

Hey guys, just to give you some background, I’m a programmer and an artist, though coding is my main job. I honestly love doing both, so I’ve actually been planning to build my own Mod Manager since day one.

I’ve been reading through your comments lately and I see some of you are a bit stressed about the new tool. Let’s talk straight. I made this for one reason: to save you time. Instead of you having to manually download and update every single mod, this tool does it all automatically so you can just get into the game and play.

Actually, I realized I made a bit of a mistake with the naming. I originally called it a "Launcher," but that’s not quite right. Since it doesn't actually load the mods into the game (you still need your usual Mod Loader like XXMI or EFMI for that), it's more accurate to call it a Mod Manager. It’s there to manage, download, and update your files—not to launch the game itself. My bad on the confusion!

I know running a new app can feel sketchy, so I’m not just going to tell you 'trust me.' I’m putting the entire source code out there for everyone to see. Check it yourself—it’s 100% clean. Actually, my main goal was just to farm some stars on GitHub... I’m just kidding! I know this makes it way easier for people to crack the app, but honestly, I’d rather you feel safe using it than worry about my 'locks.'

If you still don't want to use the Manager even after seeing the code, that’s totally fine. No hard feelings. Just DM me and I’ll send you the raw files so you can unzip and install them manually like you’ve always done.

My real problem isn't with people sharing my stuff; it's with 'resellers' who steal my work and sell it for a profit. That's just wrong, and this tool helps stop that. Also, just a reminder, all my mods become 100% free for everyone after 30 days. I’m not trying to keep them behind a paywall forever.

In fact, if you want to host my mods for free on your own site, just hit me up. Even if you aren't a member or if the mod isn't officially free yet, I'll still give you the files to upload as long as you're not charging people for them. I’m just trying to make things better for everyone here. This applies to websites, Telegram, and all mod communities. I sincerely apologize if this whole setup has been a hassle or made you feel uncomfortable. My inbox is always open if you have any questions.Github LinkAnd if you don't know how to code, just feed my source files to an AI (like ChatGPT or Gemini) and ask it to check for any malware. It’s the easiest way to verify for yourself that everything is 100% clean
