So, as I said last week, we hoped to present our supporters with a small gift of something new, as we approach the end of what we in the USA call “the holiday season.”
We’ll talk about that a bit further below.
Before we get to that, I wanted to discuss revised release dates.
We are in a position where we must regretfully announce that the release of the public Beta of Peace Island will be delayed until early May, 2023. This is five months past the previous announced release date of late December of this year.
First, allow me to speak to those supporters who are disappointed by this further delay:
We understand your frustration, and understand that we cannot ask any one patron to stay around for the duration of the entire project.
In this context, our original commitment that we made to our Patreon supporters holds true. if you have contributed at a level that qualifies for premiums, such as the full game upon release - you will continue to qualify for those premiums, even if you choose to end your support. As proof of this commitment, there are people who will be getting a copy of this post that contributed a single dollar to the project in late 2019, and ended their support thereafter.Secondly, let me address those supporters who are always so generous as to remind us that they understand that Peace Island is a huge undertaking, and are willing to wait for “as long as it takes:”
We truly appreciate your support and patience more than words can say. However, to put it in the most literal and blunt terms we can:We are in a race against time - publishers cannot wait forever.
SO:Here is a link to a new PC release that runs far better than the last one, and allows the cats to drive golf carts:

NOW - LET ME END WITH A SPECIAL MESSAGE TO THE CONTRIBUTORS WHO ARE WAITING SO DILIGENTLY FOR A MAC RELEASE.
We again regret to inform you that we are still battling to overcome the few errors that have blocked our efforts as effectively as Leonidas and the 300 blocked the Persians at Thermopylae.
All that I can say is that we might have found our Ephialtes - and have handed our development Mac over to him, in hopes he might find a digital goat trail behind the obstacles of iOS.
Whether or not you choose to discontinue your support in light of this continued delay, we ask that you know the following:
Mac users like you brought us to where we are today, and we pledge to return your loyalty - Your build is coming.
Until next week, thank you, one and all - Stay Warm!-Eric & Laura
