Adventure Synopsis

The Counting is a Pathfinder 2nd Edition adventure for three to six characters of 2nd to 4th-level, optimized for a party of four 3rd-level characters.

A tribe of goblins known as the Thornpurse has learned the mechanisms of tax collection following the ambush of a collector’s wagon, and have decided to assume responsibility themselves. As their ersatz bureaucracy has swelled, disruption to the regional populace and local commerce has grown too impactful to ignore.

Can the party venture into their lair and audit the goblins’ operation, or will violent intervention prove necessary? This adventure is set in the realm of Cartosia, but can be easily adapted to feature in any campaign setting.
