If you've had problems transitioning between the two parts of the game, this is for you. Make sure you have recent builds of both games. As of this posting, that's Inheritance Build 1218, Revelations Build 0008. Screenshots may show other version numbers, reflecting work in progress, but the builds listed should work without issues.
Start by running The Roommate: Inheritance.
Load a recent saved game. If you have extraneous save files left over from previous attempts go ahead and delete those, being careful not to delete the wrong things.

The game is saved automatically in the first available free slot. You might want to take note of the slot number, particularly if you've saved games with different options.
As of Build 1218, there's a reminder that the game continues in Revelations.
You're returned to the main menu screen.
Close Inheritance before running The Roommate: Revelations.
Load the saved game from Inheritance.
You'll see a confirmation that you're playing a continuation game.You can see that the Status Bar reflects the same information that you saw at the end of the previous game - the date and time are the same, as are other details like your bank balance

The game begins. Depending on your relationship, you might wake up on the couch or in bed with someone else, but you should see consistent values for things like your bank balance
