Hey, everyone! Hope you're all doing well.
As always, the development pace took a hit once rendering kicked in. A lot of assets and maps had to be ported, and there's still more coming in the second half. That said, we're just about wrapped on the first half, so here's the second batch of previews.
There's still one scene and a non-lewd animation standing between me and finalizing the first half for coding, but we're close. All things considered, progress has been steady, no major hiccups, no fires to put out. Hoping the second half holds that same energy.
I wanted to move faster. I really did. But this is the ceiling right now. Juggling multiple health issues has taken its toll, and pushing past what my body can handle isn't a trade-off I'm willing to make anymore.
But anyway, here's where we stand:
📊 Progress & Current Numbers
Lines of code: 2427
Renders: 496
Animations: 6
Music & SFX: 26
Episode 2 is quieter than you'd expect, and heavier than it looks in the previews.
It'll be about the kind of choices that don't make announcements. The ones that creep up on you, slow and quiet, until you're already neck-deep and cannot pretend you didn't walk in on your own. It'll be about what it means to make a promise you were never supposed to make, and what it costs when you decide to keep it anyway.
"There's a case. There's a lead that probably shouldn't be trusted. There's a club, and something that puts everything moving. But none of that is where the story lives.
The real story is in what happens after...
Because sometimes, the most dangerous thing you can do in this job isn't walking into a gunfight. It's letting yourself care about what comes after. And you'd be wishing you weren't the one who did it."
Take care, everyone! Stay awesome.
