[Teaser #2] MBML Chapter 2 - Episode 3

Alright, I'll bundle everything into one post since I don't want to spam your notifications; there's still more coming down the line.

I hope you all enjoyed Episode 2 as much as I enjoyed making it. (That's a lie. I suffered. 😅) The response has been incredible though, people sharing what got them, what they didn't see coming, how Emma's arc ended. Honestly, I never know how to respond to that kind of thing. It's always been a problem of mine. But I see every single one of those comments, and they mean more than I let on. There's no better way to close Emma's storyline than bringing Leah back to her.

So... Where do we go from here?

Episode 2 ended with a stinger and a tonal gut-punch. Kei has only ever seen "E" in the white room, in what he chalks up to bad dreams. This time, she shows up outside of it, standing right there, like she's actually real. This only confirms one thing, but I'll let you ponder that one. That's exactly where Episode 3 picks up.

The next episode will tackle multiple topics. We will keep Kei's condition as the thread running through everything, while also wrapping up Sky and Naomi's arcs. Two shorter arcs, one episode. Will it end well? ... Probably. 😂

I'll be honest. Sky and Naomi have always been on the quieter side of the cast, and that's partly on me. Too many characters, not enough runway for each of them. There's less to pull from compared to Emma or Gwen or Moon, so I've tried to work harder to find the emotional core of their stories. But I ended up sticking with the original plans, because there's just... nothing. So I won't promise this'll be the best episode we've ever done. But you'll feel something. I can guarantee that much. 😅

One last thing: development hasn't started yet. Episode 2 drained me completely, and I'm taking the time I need before jumping back in. I'll let you know when the engine's running again.🫡

The game is almost coming to a close, and there are only four releases left, including this one.
