Clara Oswald struggles with her new immortality, unsure how to deal with the prospect of eternity. Luckily, Ashildr is around to guide her through her worries, and is more than happy to teach Clara how she's stayed sane over the long, long years...

-o-o-o-

Being dead was beginning to depress Clara Oswald.

Oh, she wasn’t dead dead, but being suspended the instant before her final heartbeat and eternally ‘living’ in what could only be described as a kind of cosmic limbo didn’t change her feelings much.

She had no pulse, no breath, she never aged, never changed.

Her only choice was to deal with it, or return to where her death was waiting for her, and neither of those options were particularly appealing.

The young, pretty, dark-haired schoolteacher let out a forlorn sigh and stared up at the ceiling of her bedroom in the Tardis. The glossy white stared right back, perfect, static, changeless.

God she was beginning to relate to a ceiling.

Clara swung herself off her neat and tidy bed and marched out into the Tardis corridors, turning a few corners before stepping out into the cool, sterile console chamber.

Me, or Ashildr, or whichever name she was using that day, was circling the hexagonal command console, flicking buttons and pulling levers, humming something to herself as she went.

Just like Clara, she looked the same as always.

A thousand centuries ago Clara and The Doctor had found a young girl named Ashildr in a Viking village, and saved her from death forever. Ever since, Ashildr had lived exactly the same as she had been then, just like Clara was now. She’d seen the human race grow from using bows and arrows to phones and Ubers, she’d lived a hundred lives, married, had children, lost everything, and started all over again more times than Clara could guess.

Unlike Clara, she didn’t seem bothered by the infinite expanse of time she was fated to live through. Then again, she’d been doing so for a few trillion years longer than Clara had.

“Morning.” Ashildr smiled as Clara made her presence known, clearing her throat politely so as not to startle her fellow immortal.

“What’re you up to?”

Ashildr shrugged. “Oh, just wondering about where to go next. So many sights to see, people to meet, fun to have.”

Clara raised a brow and leaned against the console, eyeing the ‘younger’ woman curiously as Ashildr smiled innocently and continued to poke at the Tardis controls. If she hadn’t known better, she could have believed Ashildr was just a normal teenager or young adult, and not the single-most ancient being she’d ever encountered.

“How do you do it?”

She didn’t realised she’d blurted it out until Ashildr laughed.

“Do what? Fly a Tardis?”

“Stay sane.” Clara sighed heavily. “I’ve been immortal for months and I’m already going stir-crazy, you’ve been like this for eternity.”

Ashildr paused, pursing her lips thoughtfully with her finger on a switch, before finally flicking it on and turning to face her.

“Do you trust me?”

Clara frowned. “Of course.”

“Then go put on something nice, we’re going dancing.”

-o-o-o-

Bass pumped and drinks flowed and Clara found herself laughing for the first time in weeks.

She didn’t know exactly where she was, The Tardis could have taken them to any planet in existence after all, but frankly she didn’t care. Ashildr had been right, this was exactly what she needed!

Clara threw back the last of her third margarita of the night and giggled, bouncing back into the midst of the dancefloor. It had been so long since she’d been dancing, let alone so freely. All of her stress and ennui just melted away, she wasn’t an immortal, she wasn’t a time-traveller, she was just a young, sexy woman shaking her ass to the rhythm!

She swayed her hips from side to side and lifted her arms overhead, twirling in place so her short-cropped hair fanned out around her. A tall, muscular man with glossy azure skin moved close, grinning and swaying to the beat as well, and Clara found herself pressing her palm up against his lovely blue pec.

If he only knew what she was really wearing, he would have been a lot more eager to dance with her!

Clara Oswald had no clothes in the Tardis other than the ones she’d died in. She’d been whisked away from a trap-street in London to the halls of Gallifrey and escaped in her and Ashildr’s Tardis with nothing but the clothes on her back, and their new home/travel machine hadn’t come with an on-board wardrobe.

Fortunately, Clara herself had.

Many, many years ago in what felt like a different life, Clara and The Doctor, her first Doctor, had visited a great intergalactic church on one of the darkest days she’d ever known. The church itself hadn’t been too important in the grand scheme of things, but they had demanded she and her time-lord friend obeyed certain rules.

Primarily: no clothes.

Yes, she’d walked about a gigantic space cathedral in the nude, and then run through an entire adventure across multiple worlds without a single stitch to cover her.

To spare her modesty and dignity, The Doctor had implanted her with a tiny holoprojector that tricked anyone looking at her into thinking she was dressed, so she and he hadn’t been staring at one another whilst trying to save the universe.

Handily, the projector was still inside her, and still operational despite her undeath. So, in the absence of anything else, Clara had spent the past months with Ashildr simply projecting her outfits onto the visual cortex’s of her friend and whoever else they met, including this alien hunk right now.

Clara bit her lip, glancing down at herself to watch her perky titties bounce and jiggle on her chest as she danced, completely exposed in the middle of a crowded dance-floor.

“Come here often?” the blue hunk asked, talking loudly to be heard over the music.

“It’s my first time.” She grinned, wiggling her naked ass in a circle. His eyes followed it, and she couldn’t help but wonder how he’d act if he saw what she was really wearing just a few inches away from him.

“Maybe I could give you the tour?”

Clara smiled sweetly. “Maybe… but I don’t want my girlfriend to worry. I’ll be right back.”

The blue man looked disappointed, then charmingly hopeful as Clara sashayed away to meet her ‘girlfriend’ who was standing just a little way away at their table, apparently having ensnared her own hunky admirer.

A large man in a security uniform was frowning confusedly in her direction as she approached, the ‘young’ girl pawing at his bicep shamelessly and pushing her petite bust out for him to ogle.

When she spotted Clara approaching, Ashildr stood up on her tiptoes to whisper into the bouncer’s ear and sent him prowling away back into the crowd, before smiling cheerfully to her travelling companion.

“Having fun?” she smiled, a little too smugly for Clara’s liking.

“Getting into trouble?” Clara shot back, looking for where Ashildr’s bouncer friend had disappeared to.

“Of course.” Ashildr smiled, looking positively cherubic, despite her outfit. The ancient girl’s nubile form was snug in metallic black minidress, high collared but very short, leaving her pale, creamy thighs bare until her tall, platform-heeled boots squeezed her just above the knee. The dress was practically skin-tight, clinging to Ashildr’s every curve deliciously, and Clara could easily see why she had attracted so much attention.

She hadn’t been doing too badly herself, projecting the image of a tiny gold sequined dress not unlike one she’d once worn aboard a flying train through deep space. This one was considerably lower cut, letting her cleavage show, and much, much shorter, so much so that if Clara had bent forwards too much, her lack of underwear would have been clear even with the holoprojector.

They talked and drank, admiring the selection of alien men filling the club, not least the blue-skinned hunk Clara had been feeling up, but just as Clara was about to wiggle her naked butt back into his orbit, Ashildr let out a disappointed groan and pointed in the opposite direction.

“Oh, looks like the boys are out of patience.” Ashildr sighed, nodding to where her bouncer friend had been joined by two other men in uniform, slowly picking their way through the crowd towards them.

“Out of patience with what, what did you do!?”

“Me? I’m not the one dancing in the middle of their club without any clothes on.” Ashildr said, with a transparently false show of innocence.

Clara’s heart would have skipped a beat, if it beat at all.

“What!?” she squeaked.

“Did you think I hadn’t noticed you were using a holoprojector?” Ashildr asked, still smiling sweetly as Clara instinctively moved her hands to cover her nipples. “Clara almost everyone in my trap street used one, I trained myself to see through all of them millennia before you were born.”

“You didn’t say!”

Ashildr’s sweet smile turned a lot less innocent, and a lot more lecherous. “I like having something pretty to look at around the Tardis. Those cute little boobs bouncing around, that tight butt so round and tight, I’ve watched you prance around for hours without getting bored, and I think you knew, deep down, that I saw through you.”

Clara’s cheeks had been red from drink, and then arousal, and then shock, but now they were truly darkly flushed as Ashildr’s words cut to a truth she hadn’t even realised.

She did like being around Ashildr naked, the exhibitionist thrill of walking around as if nothing were out of the ordinary whilst her every curve was left to enjoy the air was intoxicating, but part of her had always wondered if Ashildr could sense the truth. Those lingering looks at her chest and her rear, how the girl so frequently used her short stature as an excuse to make Clara, hardly tall herself, reach or jump up to retrieve components or gadgets from the Tardis’ higher shelves, it all seemed so obvious now.

Clara had loved feeling her breasts bounce and her ass jiggle as she skipped through cities and forests of a hundred different worlds, and some part of her had loved the idea that someone knew exactly what she was doing.

“I’m a little disappointed the boys got so upset so quickly.” Ashildr continued, as Clara flapped her mouth open and shut soundlessly, trying to think of a defence, or an excuse, or anything to distract from the perverted show she’d been giving her friend for the past months. “I figured they’d like watching you dance as much as I do.”

“What do you mean?” Clara managed weakly, glancing over her shoulder and spotting a third bouncer making slow progress through the crowd towards them.

“I made some minor modifications to the emitter a while ago.” Ashildr admitted, “Like it not projecting the image of your clothes on camera.”

“What!?” Clara yelped, loud enough to turn heads towards the pair.

“They were pretty confused when they came out of the security room to kick out a drunk nudist shaking her ass in the middle of their club, and saw you in that cute get-up instead. Looks like they don’t want to deal with the headache of finding out exactly why their footage looks like a softcore porn, and just boot you out to save time.”

“Ashildr!”

Clara lunged at her fellow immortal, who laughed and grabbed her wrist, dragging her behind as they made their escape.

The heavy bass and thick scent of excitement dimmed as they burst out into the street, low fluorescent light bathing them in the cool night air.

“I can’t believe you! Why would you do that!? They must have been staring at me for hours!” Clara gasped, still clutching her bust and sandwiching one hand between her thighs, even though it must have looked bizarre to the precious few aliens still wandering the streets.

“Isn’t it hot?” Ashildr purred, plucking a thin black and silver tube out of her purse and spinning it between her fingers. Clara recognised it immediately.

“Is that a sonic screwdriver?”

“It is, and also the remote for your projector.” Ashildr smiled, before pushing the button and lighting its tip up purple. “Race you to the Tardis!”

Before she could react, Clara felt the holoprojector turn off with a soft click, a faint shiver running down her spine as the illusion hiding her naked body from the universe, and the eyes of strangers, vanished in an instant.

Before she could shriek or gasp or try to grab Ashildr to rescue herself from the exposure, her friend was running full tilt towards the distant shape of their time machine.

Before she knew it, she was running too.

Her bare feet hammered on the slick pavement. Her hair blew in the wind. Her breasts bounced and jiggled, her ass wobbled and shook, and Clara’s frozen heart, if it had been able to, would have soared with glee.

She laughed, eyes wide and manic as she streaked past a trio of alien teenagers who stared in awe at her naked form as it sped by.

All too soon, she was inside the Tardis, panting for breath, and giddy with perverted delight.

“Ashildr… you crazy bitch…” she grinned, before softly gasping as her fellow immortal reached out, cupped her heaving breasts, and pushed a hungry kiss to her lips.

“The trick isn’t to stay sane, Clara, it’s to keep having fun.” She breathed, eyes dark and alluring as Clara stared down at her in shock. “We will live forever, we are beyond the laws and rules of normal people. If our lives are infinite, we will do everything, so why waste time worrying when we can just have fun? All that matters is pleasure, our own happiness, we will do whatever we want, whenever we want, wherever we want, because that’s what we are now. Eternity without pleasure is hell, following rules made by people who will live and die in a blink of our eyes is madness. There are no rules for people like us, not if they stand between us and getting off.”

“None?” Clara whispered after a moment, a deep, forbidden arousal building as Ashildr pressed close.

“None at all…” Ashildr promised. “Now let’s play…”
