Weekly Update #23 | 08 Jul 2026

Good news, everybody! We've managed to get a solid sponsor locked down for the A Very Brief Analysis: Attack of the Clones Reel #2 release. We're aiming for a public release at the end of next month. Of course, you guys still get to see every part of that video early with the Technical/Narrative previews.

This doesn't really affect our plan for the Canon Policy video. We were always planning on prioritising AOTC Reel #2/Part 6, and fitting in working on the Canon video around that.

I've managed to get all of Technical #14 "Yacht, Gozanti and Taylander"/Technical #15 "RIC" ready for pre-editing, as predicted. But I also got the first half of the Canon Policy video prepared for pre-editing! Quite a productive week. We decided to work out of order on these two Technical parts so I didn't have to sort out any 3D renders while my neck is recovering. That means I skipped to Technical #15, and will circle back to Technical #14 after that's done. As for Technical #15, I'm about 17/25 minutes through inserting all of the excerpts and getting it ready for the fill pass. Smooth sailing so far. I may try to sneak in some work on the Canon Policy video before the next update.

DZ has also been going very well. He's at about 50 minutes on the Star Wars: Clone Wars script. Production is going quite well, about as smoothly as we had hoped. DZ says: "I've enjoyed seeing how this compares to the movies. Some choices have been very sensible, but there are missed opportunities, and a few catastrophic mistakes."

On the recording side of things, we have plans to hit the studio to finish the last half of the Canon Policy narration on Friday evening.
