DESCRIPTION

Hi, everybody.

We couldn't do much work last week because of my health situation, and I'm going to explain the whole thing, but I must preface it with an apology because I feel like these weekly reports --which are meant to summarize our work-- have turned into my weekly health reports, but since you support us to work on the development of the game, I feel like we owe you an explanation as to why we couldn't do our job.

I had an accident many years ago that caused the neck of my femur to be broken. When that happened, I was holidaying in an island far from hospitals, and when they finally treated me, it was way too late. I was told then that I would, in time, develop avascular necrosis, which I did. That was many years ago, and over time my mobility got worse and worse. I was told I should do hip replacement surgery (despite my age) since that would allow me to live without pain and have normal mobility, but that I should wait as long as I can. I waited, but the birth of our child gave me a sense of urgency to get better before she could start to walk so that I could play with her. Anyway, that's the surgery that went wrong; it went wrong because, unbeknownst to my surgeon or myself, the necrotic bone had developed osteoporosis, and they fixed the prosthetic femur to the weak bone. So, during the week I was home, it kept cracking (I went to the emergency room once, but apparently regular x-rays didn't show it) until on Sunday, there was a bad muscle spasm, and the prosthetic leg came off of the hip because of the bone breaking. I went by ambulance to the hospital, and they still didn't know what the cause was. They said it was just dislocation, and they tried to put the broken bone in place by moving it, making it worse in the process. Anyway, in short, when they finally opened me up again, they saw the damage and fixed it, keeping me in the hospital until today.

Right now, I'm back home, feeling better, and even though I have to rest for six weeks, I can, fortunately, work from bed.

During this whole period, Chestnut was trying to manage our kids while supporting me, so she couldn't do any work either.

Hopefully, next week we will summarize the stuff we've worked on and get back to our routine (with some adjustments).

That's all, and have a wonderful weekend.Cheers
