My roommate follows me on twitter and is often on
twitter, I feel like I can't say anything relating to our issues there. I don't know if I say something,
even just saying I'm disgruntled, that my roommate
will pick on me for it. And i don't know if this worry
comes from me entirely.
This roommate situation came around mostly from
"hey I want to move out of my mother's home" and
her (at the time) going "me and my girlfriend are
probably going to move out if not renew the lease."
We were decently amicable then and that's the plan.
Before my move in, her girlfriend became her
ex-girlfriend and it turned out the ex-girlfriend was
actually harmfully christian anti-lgbtqia+ despite....
going into a relationship with a woman. I was
updated and told about this through this ordeal.
The ex-girlfriend got "kicked out" before the their
lease ended in Sept., I no longer know the details of
this. And since my roommate can't pay the rent
alone, she asked if I could move in sooner. (? Im
pretty sure.) Otherwise I agreed to move in before
sept. Which was why I moved in July.
I knew that things would occur and issues would
arrise simply because we have never lived together
before and we weren't super long time besties.
We had a situation, i said "you don't come off how
you sound in text than when we speak to each
other". She said that seemed to happen to her a lot
and I said maybe I could help. And since then my
intentions on talking about her wording was to help
that.
Last night I had something important to discuss,
but quickly in the middle of it I brought up: "You're
using 'but' as a conjunction and that negates you're
statement prior. I bring this up because this is a part
of something I wished to speak to you about."
And her reply:
It probably is but also, I understand why you're
doing it and I thought it might be something I
could do but realized, it's not. Picking at my
wording and trying to get me to change it is
something that's really been grating on me lately
too.
I no longer know what's going on and I will have to
speak to her about things to set things straight
otherwise I feel like my brain decided to make all this
stuff up. I feel like I'm going crazy.
My emotional capacity is being strained beyond it's
limit and I have to exert energy to respond to her or
act "normal" in the house in front of her.
Me dealing with our first spat is what added to me
being fired. I was wrecked mentally that it fatigued
me physically, and I was so physically worn out from
work I could not churn my brain harder to manage
the argument at my living situation.
My roommate doesn't communicate to me and her
issues with me seemingly are all "why can't you tell
that you damn bother me? I'm sick of this, I'm sick of
that, will you quit it?" Without having told me before
she got this frustrated.
I'm sorry that I'm not a stronger person and work on
commissions/art while I deal with my roommate.
