Hey everyone!
My apologies for the prolonged silence, I've been busy on the latest video and it seems like no end is in sight because I'm also working on another project that keeps interjecting. I'm planning the release date for the middle of October but it might get delayed, depending on the other thing.
In the meantime here is a long awaited (and long saved up for lol) audio gear upgrade! I've upgraded both my 2nd gen Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface and my Audio-technica AT2020 mic, replacing them with the Audient ID4 MKII and the easily recognizable and ever-popular Shure SM7B! My voice is a little on the scratchy side and my room isn't ideally treated for a condenser mic, so the warmer and fuller sound and the dynamic nature of the SM7B is a decent fit, or so it seems from my limited time using it!
The upcoming video is a bit of a slower one, with narration being pretty front and center, and so far I think it has enhanced it quite a bit compared to my old setup. Of course there are diminishing returns once you get into hundreds of dollars in equipment, and the SM7B especially is often chosen simply because its everywhere, but I'm feeling good about my choice!
Hope all is well with you, I will post more art when I get the chance to make it and I hope to see you soon with another post!
Cheers
