Happy Halloween! I'm happy to announce that it's also time for some new maps and tokens. This month's releases jump around the timeline a lot, so there should be something for any campaign. Let's take a look…
First we have the Greenhouse by Aaron Millard – their first map commission! For a small map, it is packed with natural details. I can see this classy map being at home in a fantasy estate, wizarding school, or something more modern.
The Speakeasy by Mo the Half helps flesh out another much-neglected time period with an atmospheric staple. It's the perfect place for you Call of Cthulu or City of Mist game to revolve around, and comes with Music- and Magic Show variants!
The Mecha Ruins are by Kelly-Louise Roake, and feature a whole slew of map overlays for different malfunctions to endanger your player characters with! We're talking flame jets, exploding hatches, and various other moving parts. A great map for sci-fi worlds or those with ancient, technologically-advanced civilizations...
We also have a horde of new tokens from Davy and Fairbanks! This month has a few Halloween-themed stragglers, a team of unconventional heroes, and a few character made specifically for the maps above. :)
Recently, every month I am compelled to apologize for not drawing something myself! I don't have much of an update to share. The desire is there, truly, but life continues to deny me the time to draw. I'm so grateful for our team to fill in, but I hope to pick up pen & paper myself as soon as I find space to breathe.
Thank you for your patience – battle maps are still a passion of mine, I just have to put family first. Although I want to get my own hands dirty, I'm having a lot of fun playing Art Director and helping our small team all stay on the same stylistic page! We'll all get better at this with time too, so I'm excited for future projects.
Do you have any future projects you'd like to see in particular? I for one am eager for more map assets. :)
That's all for now though. Please enjoy!– Ross
