My older piercings mod has had some issues for a while, but this new and (hopefully!) improved version should correct those problems for all users.Let's get right into the details!WHAT'S CHANGED ABOUT SIMPLE PIERCINGS?The last version of SimplePiercings was a script mod which unfortunately began to have some issues that I - not a script modder! - couldn't fix. This version is not a script mod; instead, it adds the pierced anatomy directly to the Body Selector list in WickedWhims for you to choose from for your sims.There are some pros and cons to this approach:CONS:1) Adding piercings as anatomy in the Body Selector makes the list longer to scroll through.2) The new piercings are skin color by default and require applying a piercing overlay in CAS to show colors and be shiny.PROS:1) This is not a script mod, which means I can fix or alter it at any time based on user feedback or in response to errors that arise.2) Piercings fixed to the anatomy allows for the body parts to "look" pierced - I can add 3D bumps and folds of flesh to fit the piercings (the previous version added piercings as separate accessories so the underlying anatomy could not be altered).I've wrestled with this approach and what it would mean for users to go back to this method for a while, but ultimately, I decided that the cons did not outweigh the pros and - most importantly perhaps - that an imperfect solution was better than no solution at all. So, yeah, I know that doing the piercings this way might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's preferable to having no piercings!HOW DO THE PIERCINGS WORK NOW?You select a piercing option in the WickedWhims Body Selector based on the piercing design and the anatomy you want for your sim (for example, Piercing B on a large uncut penis with low testicles). For technical reasons, the piercing will look skin-colored, so you'll need to apply a piercing overlay in CAS to get the color and shine level that you want.The piercing overlays can be found in CAS in the Body menu, under the Medical Wearables submenu (I know, they're not medical, but there are only so many slots in the game!). They do NOT conflict with any of the existing medical wearables, so your sim can have both a piercing color and any of the glucose monitors at the same time.The piercings themselves do not show up in CAS because I didn't think it was necessary and I didn't want to bloat CAS any further with lots of piercing options (I'm thinking about how many piercing styles may be added in future).There are separate single pierced parts that shows up in CAS (in the Underwear/Brassieres category) so you can test out piercing colors on a piercing. These parts - penis and breasts - only shows up in CAS for the purpose of testing colors and are separate from the pierced anatomy available in Live mode.WHAT ANATOMY IS AVAILABLE FOR PIERCINGS?Currently all 2.0 penis options (base and unique designs), 2.0 breast options and 2.0 chest options are available. I'll be adding vagina piercings in a future update when the 2.0 vaginas are completed.WHAT PIERCING OPTIONS ARE THERE?The piercings come with the following options:1) 2 penis piercing styles: half ring through the glans (Piercing A) and barbell through the frenulum (Piercing B).2) 3 nipple piercing styles: half ring (Piercing A), ring/ball (Piercing B) and barbell (Piercing C).3) 25 piercing swatches (expanded from the original 6!), available to all piercings.4) 3 shine options for the piercing swatches - Shiny, Satin and Matte.NOTE: All swatches will work with any of the piercing styles!PIERCING STYLES ARE OPTIONAL:I know that adding piercings to the Body Selector will expand the list of parts to scroll through. That's why I offer two versions of the piercings:1) Individual: All piercing styles separated into single package files. Choose this option if you want to pick specific styles for your game (For example, you can install Penis Piercing A but not install Penis Piercing B and so on).2) All-in-one: All piercing styles available in one package file. Choose this option if you want all of the piercings in your game.Note: In the Body Selector, pierced anatomy is grouped by piercing style. All nipple options for Piercing A are together, all nipple options for Piercing B are together, etc.INSTALLATION NOTES:You should download and install TWO of the available three zip files. In order to see piercings in your game, you will need the BASE zip and ONE of the Styles zips.The BASE zip file contains two packages: the required SimplePiercings file and the optional CASHider file (which hides visible piercings in CAS).The STYLES_ALL zip contains all piercings together in one package.The STYLES_SEPARATED zip contains piercings separated into individual packages, one per piercing (Female Nipple A, Male Penis B, etc).NOT INCLUDED IN THIS POST:To see the pierced anatomy in the Wicked Whims Body Selector in game, you'll need to download and install my BodySelectorList mod. Both A and B style piercings have been added for both male and female sims.2026-04-04: Updated to add piercings for all existing female penises (base and unique designs). The color overlays in CAS have also been updated to make them available for female sims, so make sure you grab the updated base file AND the updated Styles file of your choice (Styles All or Styles Separated).2026-03-14: Updated chest piercing options to include the animated pecs added to SimpleChests.2026-03-07: Added piercings for the new Capped Nipples breasts.2026-02-17: Added pierced versions of the Adan and Igor penis designs.2026-02-05: Added solo versions of the nipple piercings, so you can now select a double nipple piercing, a Right nipple piercing, or a Left nipple piercing. For anyone who uses the individual style packages, the solo versions are completely standalone - you can use them without having the double piercing version installed."Right" and "Left" are oriented to your view as the player, rather than the sim's perspective, so a "Right" piercing is on the nipple on your right, NOT the sim's right nipple. Hopefully that's not too confusing.For male sims, the solo piercings are also available in CAS; if you prefer not to see them, the CAS Hider file has been updated to hide these as well.2026-01-23: Fixed an issue causing merfolk to be unable to access piercing overlays. This involved adding a separate version of the overlays for merfolk because of some technical limitations. What this means in practice:1) You will need to choose an overlay for both human and mer forms. You can make them the same or different; each overlay is separate so whatever you choose for one form does not affect your choice for the other form.2) Mer forms cannot use a piercing overlay AND a lower stomach medical wearable. Mermaids can't access the leg slots that I used for all other sims, so I had to set their overlays to a stomach slot. This conflicts with the stomach glucose monitor patches. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about this.If you encounter issues with the merfolk for piercings, let me know.2025-10-14: Added piercings (existing styles A & B) to XSMall penises for male sims.2025-10-11: Added piercings for the new Enlarged nipple style for male SimpleChests.2025-09-10: Fixed the UV1 on the female C nipple piercings to cause less distortion when using body sliders.Also, I forgot to mention in yesterday's changelog - the C style piercings are not available for all breasts/chests. Because the barbell goes straight across, it requires some nipple protrusion or the balls of the piercing clip the chest. For this reason, the C style piercings are currently not available for Inverted or Flat nipple options.2025-09-09: Added a brand-new nipple piercing, Style C (a barbell), for breasts/chests. Fixed texture issues with Triangular/Square chest piercings A & B that caused nipple textures not to show up properly. Fixed weight issues with breast piercings A & B that caused piercings to distort, most noticeably when in extreme movement.I've also changed how the piercing styles are offered. Previously they were only available as separate packages, but I now offer that option AND the option to download all piercing styles in one package.This change means that there are now THREE zip files attached to the post - the BASE zip and two STYLES zips. You should only download and install ONE of the two available STYLES zips! If you download both you'll be adding the piercings to your game twice.2025-08-31: Male nipple piercings will now show in CAS by default. If you don't want to see these in CAS, you should install the simdulgence_SimplePiercings_CASHider.package file in the Optional folder.I originally didn't want to add piercings to CAS because it could get tedious to scroll through, but I didn't think about the fact that male sims might be shirtless in swimwear/sleepwear and that you'd have to constantly "strip" them (using WW) to see piercings. I could've left piercings hidden by default and used an add-on file to add the piercings to CAS, but that'd require either a) a separate visibility file for each piercing style, or b) an all-in-one visibility file that would cause problems for any styles you didn't have installed in your game. Instead I've made the nipple piercings visible by default, and created one optional CAS Hider file that hides all piercings in CAS. This keeps the number of packages files low and prevents any errors. Currently only male nipple piercings have changed, but I'm open to doing the same for other piercing options depending on feedback. (I'll change the post to reflect these visiblity changes once I've allowed time for more user feedback and/or decided on making other piercings available in CAS.)2025-08-23: Added penis piercings for my 2.0 SimplePenis Exclusive designs. All piercing designs/swatches are available for all penises with the exception of the following:Penis Piercing A: Not available for Lorenzo.Penis Piercing B: Not available for Lorenzo, Jean, Tom, Neil and Roland.The reason for this is that those piercing/penis combinations all feature a penis where the foreskin design prevents you from seeing a visible piercing for the soft or hard versions, so I didn't think players would want those. If you use one of these penises on your sim and want a piercing - which, FYI, will just be a "bump" under the skin with no visible piercing - let me know and I can add it for you.2025-08-07: Added two nipple piercing styles for the 2.0 chests, including the half-ring and full ring/ball designs that were made available for breasts in the 07-28 update. The overlay options are the same as the breast piercings.As with the breast piercings, you will need to download the updated 2.0 SimpleChests file if you want to use the chest piercings with my textureless add-on.2025-07-29: Fixed an internal flag to make nipple piercing overlays available to the same sex/gender combinations as the nipple piercings themselves.2025-07-28: Added two nipple piercing styles for the 2.0 breasts, including the half-ring (a style previously available with the scripted version of the mod) and the brand-new full ring/ball design. All nipple piercings work the same way as the penis piercings, and have their own set of 25 piercing overlay swatches to match the penis piercing colors (in all three of the same finishes - shiny, satin and matte). A preview picture showing the new nipple piercing designs has been added to the post.Note: If you want to use the female nipple piercings with my textureless add-on, you will need to download the updated version of the 2.0 SimpleBreasts file, which has been updated to include textureless options for the piercings.
