Apologies-- what with getting the latest release out, I see I've badly neglected these reports. I do hope some of the old regulars and newer supporters jump in on this one as I'm issuing a kind of 'last call' on CMan. let me explain!The original plan with Company Man was to update and expand the original Corporate Raider series and put it on a more contemporary and superior platform. We did that with Unity. We've also long passed the original remit by adding global locations and in general providing a kind of 'after party' experience for the main quest- taking control of Artemis. The game also became a kind of two track experience where you had not only your main objectives but a side project of taking Deborah Jones, your original rival, in hand. That's all developed nicely and has taken us to this point.I've decided that the next release- Company Man v1.9.0 "Gilded Cage"-- will be the next to last. Company Man 2.0 will be the last and will really be a final kind of 'Director's Cut' edition with a general overall improvement of the player experience and not an advance of the overall narrative. I've started working on Gilded Cage and am thinking we're looking at a Jan/Feb '24 window and for the 2.0 release a March/April window. I think this will pretty much present the Company Man story in as evolved as state as I can see it right now. It will also clear the deck for the next game, of which more in a moment.So, for long time fans who have so faithfully and generously supported the game, I'm announcing a Last Call. If there are characters, locations, events, plots or just whimseys you've wanted to see incorporated into Company Man, this is your last chance to make suggestions. Let me know what you'd like to see included in the "Gilded Cage" and if I can I will do so!As for what's next, it is time to move to extend the Company Man universe to Hollywood. We're looking at the same basic game engine with a new location setting and a new set of challenges in "Tinseltown." If you like the idea of Company Man goes Hollywood, this will be up your alley! And yes, please start flooding me with your ideas here starting now! I'm excited to expand the Company Man universe in new areas-- starting with big bad Hollywood.So that's the latest. "Moscow" has been updated, with both Win and Mac versions now available, with a couple of bugs fixed in 1.8.1, but it was mercifully stable, which is good.
