There’s something about the inability to shoot any other characters right now that has left me with so many photos of Vex from various recent shoots. And diversifying the people I shoot with more now has left me in this place where I’m adjusting to all of their editing styles and timeframes, and it’s just a little less conducive to posting on here when I get one or two photos every couple weeks. Admittedly I’ve had all 6 of these shots for weeks, so maybe I’m just looking for excuses.
This next part is gonna be kind of long, sorry in advance. Feel free to just ignore it if you don’t care. I’m so sorry I’ve been gone for so long. Picking up my life the past two months has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, and I am still struggling with so much. I hope you all know by now that I am no longer associated with Geekstrong/Ruy Arenas. His name has been wiped from every inch of my Instagram, his collaborator tag removed and his various pages blocked. He was someone I considered a best friend, and this is not a decision that I made lightly. Writing this out, this feels like such a silly and impersonal place to be stating all of this. I’ll share what I can and answer questions on discord later if anyone is interested. And I’ll be making more of a public statement later on about what this page will look like going forward. For now, I only have one more album of his photos to post today (not this one), and moving forward I’ll be attempting to shoot some more of my own stuff, and seeking out female photographers. I would love to say that their are male photographers that I still trust, because there are, but my intuition is something that has repeatedly been proven untrustworthy over the past two months, so I guess I’m forcing some self preservation tactics.
