"All I'm saying is that if you're going to get a butt lift, read the fine print."
π A Little Behind
It happens to the best of us, and I am by no means the best of us. You sit at your desk, or what have you, with the full intent to produce a masterpiece. Or, you know, just something that someone can get a little joy consuming, in an otherwise hum-drum or even shitty week.
But then...
Crickets. No creativity. I think, "I just need a theme". Nothing. I think, then, "Gnome, you just asked your patrons for a ton of characters. Draw one of them!" and I tried, I really did. But nothing was really motivating me.
So, I decided, let's at least communicate with the group, sit down and write your newsletter. At least get the short comic done (still need a tltle for these... eventually). And think about how you got in this position, maybe talk it through.
I like to try to theme the week so I don't stare at a blank page. It's been going great these past few weeks, but I think I swung around the other way and ended up with the opposite: Stuck on that theme and not liking any of the ideas I came up with. It wasn't in keeping with my agreed-upon strategy (for myself) to reasonably accomplished consistent posting:
Three milestones (on non-comic weeks:)
A free single panel comic (about inflation, TF, or TG
A SFW pinup for the Gnome Fans (with a speed-draw recording for the Team and Pals)
A NSFW piece for Gnome Team and Pals.
I definitely missed that, at least this weekend. So... ugh, let's try this: Push through the creative block, and maybe just do something! It might not be a grand piece or an amazingly sexy TF, but I like the challenge of keeping contact with you all.
Will I hit all those this week? I'm not sure. But I'm going to hit the ground running as soon as I send this out. At least try!
Short read this week, but I I think I might have an idea. Something fun that I really want to do, and just let it be what it is: enjoyable, silly art with just a pinch of kink for you all to enjoy.
Now, if you'll excuse me...
π Thanks for reading!
That will do it for us here as well. Next time on the Comic Week installment of Letters From Gnome, I think we'll expand a bit (no pun intended) and talk a little about one of my favorite OCs. Want to find out who? Keep reading the weeklies! And as always...
...keep dreaming!

PS: Even if you've been here forever, take a moment and let me know how you found me!
