Since I'm healthy, I can go back to complaining about completely unimportant things.
Stories with gacha mechanics. I don't think the idea is inherently bad, but the whole gacha system just ends up being an excuse to give the protagonist a never-ending series of cheap power-ups. Even stories that try to randomize the process fail because there are too many good options. That's not gacha. It's lazy and ends up breaking immersion.
Gacha is whiffing all nine out of ten rolls. Then you think you're getting something good on the tenth roll, but it's a duplicate of something you already have that's not that good to begin with. Then you realize you used up all your free currency that you have been saving for months, so you give in and buy, but you still fail to get what you wanted.
Then some asshole posts his god roll on X and you punch your screen. That's gacha.
