This is another random project I did this week. A test print of a snake in a tree design I did as practice to get back into block printing, and for a friend who requested it.I used to do block printing when I was much younger. Lately I've had an itch to do more with physical media, and I always liked block printing because you can do a run of prints. I've been playing with the idea of doing different designs like this and selling them. So let me know if you'd be interested in something like that.
It's kind of a fun process, but the printing part is also extremely messy. I want to do more of it, but (like with so many things I'd like to do) I don't really have the space or a proper area to do it in my small house. I might set something up in the garage over the summer if I end up doing more of it. At least I can carve blocks in my house without making a mess. But I should set up a table in the garage to do the printing.
I also don't have the proper paper to print on. I did half a dozen test prints on different types of paper I had laying around. And the results are okay... but actual printing paper transfers the ink a lot better. Still I think this is a good start.
Anyway like I said, if you'd be interesting in physical prints like this, let me know. Or if you want to see a particular animal or design, I'm open to ideas.
And I'll be getting back to the comic and other furry art next week. Just took some time this week to do other stuff that's been on my mind.
