Story by Leena
Allie "VoidTroll" Mercer stretched her arms behind her head, her long purple hair dyed last weekend in a fit of late-night impulsiveness cascading down her back like a waterfall of amethyst. The familiar weight of her VR headset settled against her temples, its faint hum syncing with the neural link as the system booted up. Her room, cluttered with energy drink cans and half-finished concept art for her next cosplay project, faded into darkness as the digital world swallowed her whole.
Her green eyes flicked across the glowing screen, scanning the latest Eternal Realms patch notes with the precision of a veteran player. New raid bosses. Balance tweaks. Another nerf to her favorite rogue subclass. Typical. She rolled her eyes, already plotting how to exploit whatever glitches the devs had missed this time.
"Alright, time to grind," she muttered, smirking as the login sequence completed. The world dissolved into pixels before reforming into Eternal Realms' bustling hub city, Aetheris.
Her avatar materialized with a shimmer a pale-skinned tiefling warrior, horns curling like obsidian blades, clad in skimpy armor that gleamed with enchantments she’d spent months farming. The broadsword strapped to her back was nearly as tall as she was, its edge thrumming with barely contained arcane energy. Around her, players surged through the streets, their avatars a riot of colors and styles: elven mages floating on spellbooks, hulking orcs barking trade offers, even a few newbies fumbling with their starter gear.
Allie ignored them all. She had one goal: dominate the leaderboards, crush the weekend event, and, if she was feeling spicy, troll anyone dumb enough to challenge her in the arena.
But today was different.
As she navigated the menu, fingers dancing across the holographic interface, the screen flickered. Just once. A blip. She frowned, tapping the settings tab.
Then it happened again.
Text boxes distorted like melting wax. Colors inverted her health bar flickering from green to a sickly, glitching purple. The ambient sounds of the city stuttered, voices cutting in and out like a corrupted audio file.
And for a split second, the Log Out button simply wasn’t there.
Allie’s pulse spiked. She jabbed at the empty space where the button should’ve been. Nothing. A cold prickle crawled up her spine. "What the hell?"
She tried again. No response.
Then, in the corner of her vision, a new notification blinked unfamiliar, pulsing red.
[SYSTEM ALERT: CONNECTION TERMINATED.]
Her breath hitched.
That wasn’t supposed to happen.
A notification popped up, glitched and pixelated, as if whatever was sending it had clawed its way through layers of corrupted code. The text flickered unnaturally, letters twisting like living things:
SEEK THE DUNGEON OF SHIFTING FLESH.
REWARD: [ERROR] BODY.
[DISCONNECT]? Y/N
Allie’s fingers hovered over the prompt. The message wasn’t in the game’s usual crisp UI font this was jagged, uneven, like something scraped into the screen from the other side. The Dungeon of Shifting Flesh wasn’t on any map she’d seen, and [ERROR] body sounded less like a loot drop and more like a threat.
A slow grin spread across her face.
"Okay, game," she muttered, cracking her knuckles. "Challenge fucking accepted."
She mashed the accept popup with glee.
The world dissolved.
Not the smooth fade-to-black of a fast travel this was violent, wrong. The hub city’s sounds warped into a metallic screech; her vision splintered into jagged fragments, each shard reflecting a different nightmare a hallway of pulsing veins, a ceiling of staring eyes, her own avatar’s face melting like wax.
Then, silence.
Allie blinked.
The transition hadn’t been seamless. One second, she was in the hub city; the next, she was here, swallowed whole by something that shouldn’t exist.
The chamber stretched around her, vast and suffocating. The air clung to her skin, thick with the scent of copper blood, maybe and something worse beneath it, sour and spoiled like meat left to rot. The walls weren’t stone. They breathed, pulsing in slow, rhythmic undulations, veins threading beneath a surface slick with something that glistened under a light with no clear source. The floor beneath her boots was warm. Alive.
A wet click echoed behind her.
Instinct kicked in before thought could follow.
Allie whirled, her sword already in hand, the blade humming with barely restrained energy. Her tiefling’s crimson skin nearly matched the dungeon’s hues, but her grin was all her own sharp, unyielding.
"Alright," she called, her voice bouncing off the fleshy walls, distorted as if the dungeon itself was chewing on her words. "Who’s the creepy bastard running this dungeon?"
Silence. Then
Something in the darkness laughed.
It wasn’t the canned, looping chuckle of an NPC. It wasn’t even the glitched screech of corrupted code. This was something wet, guttural, a sound that slithered up her spine and pooled in her gut like ice.
The dungeon was unlike anything she’d seen before.
Walls pulsed like living tissue, contracting and expanding as if the entire structure was one enormous, grotesque organ. The air wasn’t just metallic it was wrong, thick with a static charge that made her teeth ache. Enemies didn’t just die here. They melted, limbs liquefying into viscous puddles before reforming into nightmare shapes a many-armed horror with too many teeth, a writhing mass of fused bodies only to collapse again, their death throes a symphony of wet, tearing sounds.
And at the heart of it all, waiting for her, stood the Avatar of Change.
A writhing, shifting mass of limbs and eyes and mouths that shouldn’t connect, its form refusing to settle. One second it was a towering humanoid with too many joints; the next, a coiled serpent with hands for scales. Its central eye if it could even be called that locked onto her, pupil dilating hungrily.
"Oh, you are nasty," Allie cackled, hefting her sword in both hands. The blade’s edge flickered with unstable energy, reacting to the dungeon’s corruption. "Let’s dance."
The fight was brutal.
The Avatar didn’t fight like a scripted boss. It adapted. Every slash she landed forced its body to reconfigure muscle and bone knitting into armored plates, severed limbs regrowing as barbed tendrils. It learned. It evolved.
But Allie Mercer didn’t know how to quit.
She ducked under a swipe of talons, rolled past a lashing whip of sinew, and parried a strike that would have cleaved her in two. Her arms burned. Her breath came in ragged gasps. But she grinned, because this? This was the kind of fight that made her feel alive.
With a roar, she feinted left, then drove her sword straight through the Avatar’s core.
The creature screamed a sound that wasn’t sound, a distortion that rattled her skull. Its body dissolved, not into pixels, but into static, a screeching, writhing mass of glitches that tore at the air before collapsing inward.
Silence.
Then a chest materialized from the remains, its surface shifting like liquid mercury. Inside, a single item pulsed ominously: a swirling, glitched orb, its edges bleeding into the air like it couldn’t decide whether to exist or not.
Allie reached for it.
The moment her fingers brushed its surface, the world shattered.
A shockwave of static tore through her, not pain not yet but a buzzing, electric fullness, like every nerve ending had been dialed to eleven. The orb liquefied, slithering up her arm in glistening strands, sinking into her skin with a sound like wet velvet dragging across flesh.
"Reward Claimed: [ERROR] Body Modification."
The notification flickered in her vision, warped and bleeding at the edges. Then
Oh. Oh fuck.
It started at her spine a white-hot twist, vertebrae popping like knuckles as something inside her unfolded. Her back arched involuntarily, a moan ripped from her throat as twin ridges erupted between her shoulder blades, flesh parting with a slick schlick sound. New limbs pushed free, still glistening and trembling with sensitivity, fingers flexing like newborn things. It didn’t hurt, not the way pain should. It burned, yes, but like the stretch of a deep, too-good sigh, muscles rearranging as a second pair of arms slithered free, palms already twitching with phantom need.
Then her chest.
A shuddering gasp escaped her as her tits swelled, not just in size but in number, flesh bubbling and parting like overripe fruit. Two became four, then six, each heavy and round and crowned not with nipples but
Oh god.
Small, throbbing cocks sprouted from each peak, already leaking and twitching at the barest brush of air. She whimpered, hands (all four of them) flying to them, fingers skimming the sensitive heads fuck, they were connected, pleasure sparking through her like live wires.
Allie screamed, but it choked off as her pelvis shattered.
Not broke shattered with the sound of a glacier calving, her hipbones splitting down the midline. The flesh between her original legs bulged obscenely, stretching like taffy before splitting vertically with a wet schlorp.
A new limb unfurled not pushing through, but unfolding from some impossible dimensional fold in her avatar's code. The third leg emerged glistening with bioluminescent mucus, its skin shimmering like oil on water. The thigh was thicker than the others, corded with alien musculature that pulsed as it settled into place.
Then the real horror began a second wet cleft ripped itself into existence between the newborn middle leg and her right limb, this one dripping silvery fluid that sizzled where it hit the ground. Both sets of labia fluttered independently, the inner flesh visibly moving in slow, peristaltic waves.
Allie collapsed to her new tripod of limbs, her original legs spasming as the middle one twitched with newborn instinct. She could feel all of it the stretch of new nerves lighting up, the wrongness of triple hip joints rotating in ways no human skeleton should allow, the awareness of those new openings responding to the dungeon's humid air.
And before she knew it, her feet too started to undergo a curious transformation. The toes elongated and curled, more like fingers. She grasped them as they slowly became a strange fusion of hand and foot, almost monkey-like, though dainty and feminine.
A white-hot current raced down her spine then bifurcated at the base, splitting into twin rivers of fire that burned through virtual nerve endings. She barely had time to gasp before she felt it an impossible pressure building at the small of her back, like bones stretching in directions they shouldn't.
The first tail erupted with a sickening tear of digital flesh, unfurling like a whip crack behind her. Before she could process it, the second burst free in a shower of glitching pixels. They weren't mere appendages they moved with alien sentience, twitching and coiling like newborn serpents testing their forms.
Allie watched in horrified fascination as the tips began to distend. The tapered ends split vertically with wet, clicking sounds, each separation revealing glistening tendons and twitching muscle fibers. Bones elongated into finger-like structures, joints popping into existence one knuckle at a time. The transformation completed with an unsettling squelch as smooth black claws slid from what were now undeniably humanoid hands five slender fingers flexing with eerie coordination.
She staggered, the new weight throwing off her center of gravity. The tails lashed behind her instinctively, each sinuous length tipped with those grasping fingers that now flexed with hungry curiosity, opening and closing like strange flowers blooming in reverse.
Her skin crawled, not unpleasantly, almost glowing a dull sheen as her hands rubbed over her thighs, her stomach, her new limbs…
Allie panted, her breath coming in ragged gasps that morphed into something between a sob and a hysterical giggle. The sound echoed strangely in the fleshy chamber three distinct vocal tones harmonizing from her newly bifurcated throat.
"What. The. Fuck."
Each word dripped with equal parts horror and exhilaration. She flexed a hand one of six now watching in fascinated disgust as the tendons beneath her shimmering, oil-slick skin moved with alien precision. The fingertips left faint bioluminescent trails in the air, like afterimages from a corrupted screen.
Every inch of her thrummed with hypersensitive awareness:
The whisper-soft drag of her twin tails (now tipped with delicate, six-fingered hands) caressing the sensitive inner thighs of her rightmost leg.
The delicious weight of her new chest each breath making her quad breasts sway in perfect counter-rhythm.
The constant, throbbing ache radiating from between her three legs, where slick heat pulsed in time with the dungeon’s walls.
And the worst (best? most terrifyingly exhilarating?) part?
A giddy laugh bubbled up as she experimentally rocked her hips, the motion sending cascading waves of pleasure through her entirely new nerve clusters. Her leftmost vagina clenched around nothing while the right one fluttered open in eager anticipation. The middle legs’ claws scraped against the floor as her body instinctively sought friction.
“Oh god,” she moaned, her voice layered with harmonics that shouldn’t exist, “I’m a fucking monster.”
The word came out sounding like a prayer.
The pleasure crested like a riptide, electric currents dancing along her new nerve endings all three sets of them. Just as the sensation threatened to drown her completely, a shrill chime sliced through the haze the Disconnect option flickering erratically in her HUD like a drowning strobe light.
Reality came crashing back. Cold sweat broke across her human brow as genuine, icepick-sharp fear pierced the euphoria. Her stomach lurched not from the transformation, but from the horrifying realization that part of her didn't want to leave. The game wasn't supposed to make her feel like this, wasn't supposed to make her skin thrum with phantom sensations that lingered in her real-world flesh even now.
"Fuck this. Fuck all of this." The words tasted like copper and static.
With a snarl that was equal parts terror and defiance, Allie clawed at her headset. She struggled free with a small pop and a hiss as the headset came off, collapsing forward onto her
Hands?
No.
Handfeet?
Her bedroom air hit her like a physical blow, too thin, too real after the dungeon's thick atmosphere. The world tilted violently as she tried to stand on legs that didn't exist in any anatomy textbook. Her original two limbs trembled while the third thicker, stronger planted itself with instinctive stability.
The tails came next.
She felt them before she saw them six feet of sinuous muscle lashing through the air behind her, the hand-like tips snapping their fingers in agitated unison. When she turned, they moved with her, shadows stretching across the wall like something out of a Renaissance painting of the damned.
Allie opened her mouth.
First a scream raw and ragged, the sound of someone watching their reality dissolve. Then laughter, bright and hysterical, because of course this would happen to her. Of course the queen of glitch-exploits would become one herself. Then another scream, this one lower, more guttural, as her new vocal cords discovered frequencies no human throat should produce.
"No way." She panted, staring at her four forearms as they braced against the carpet. The lower set twitched independently, their black-nailed fingers digging grooves into the pile. "No. Fucking. Way."
The mirror called to her like a dare.
She moved in jerks and staggers, her tripedal gait sending shockwaves through her nervous system with every step. The tails kept getting tangled in her gaming chair. The extra hands kept grabbing at doorframes for balance they didn't need.
Then
There.
Her reflection.
Same violet bangs stuck to her sweaty forehead. Same green eyes, now blown so wide the whites showed all around. Same chipped black nail polish on her original fingers.
But the rest?
The rest was impossible.
Four arms, three legs… Horns curling from her head…
Allie's breath hitched.
The game hadn’t just changed her.
It had upgraded her.
Her breath came fast. Excitement warred with panic.
"Okay… okay. This is insane. But…" She flexed a tail-hand, watching it curl in the air. "If this is real… what else is out there?"
A slow, wicked grin spread across her face.
"Time to find more glitches."
