1903NM to the M16A2 - 120 years of Service Rifle Competition

The 1903 Springfield serviced the US as a military rifle from 1903 through at least 1945. After WW2, it found its role to be mostly ceremonial, but also for competition. The CMP (and other organizations) sold these rifles to civilians, who then modified them to be more competitive at the Service Rifle and the National Matches. In this video we profile one 1903A3 which has been converted to this competition role, but also discuss the National Matches themselves and the tradition of marksmanship that they still pursue today.
