Hello everyone.
After a kinda long release PAUSE, where I managed to take some days off and invested around 3 months on content refinement/development, we're back with a lot of expected and unexpected good news: we had a mini comic every month so you could have your fun, many render sets for testing material, I've built new scenes and did a lot of improvements on existing one, went deeper on some scripted drafts, did some animation research and tests, night light setup finished with a lot of edits on other global rendering stuff and a MASSIVE update on the textures and hierarchy workflow for skins so I could save memory on bigger scenes, also some extra knowledge in the shading techniques you guys might notice in the following comics.
Sure, we had drawbacks, after all, working in overdrive mode while letting the brains free before being stick again to a straight schedule is a curse and a blessing: scenes for actual Cheap Tricks season were not finished, timeline script basically paused while I was traveling though specifics points for a few future chapters and basically no project was 3D drafted in advance meaning that we begin the year with zero canon stories ready to go, plus I didn't finish the animation research for following chapters - I didn't even finish revising NCA Warehouse base project and have multiple scenes with the outdated horizon/sky...
Adding to the results of last year - that was a test run on intensive work - we reached a very balanced schedule but yet we're not prepared for making it happen ideally... and that's exactly how life is: we get the unexpected good, mix it with the unexpected bad, then place it on the expected part "pan" and make the best cake we can, and this is what we're doing this year, enjoying the best we can with whatever we have.
Sure, I'm billing free time right now working on the weekend so I can stick to the first part of the schedule but I won't be doing this for long unless it is a release day, so, I'll respect resting time and pass the bill over canon releases that usually take more time to happen, and stick in non canon comics AND release unfinished comic half way so the gears can keep turning smoothly.
The objective, this time, is see if I can rest better to shorten the pauses in the future and, perhaps, divide it or even skip it, or just keep it all the same, hehe, it will all depend on the flow of the year and, that's it folks, time to work, to live the Dream and have our fun.
Thanks for having me around, and thanks a lot for you supporting the Dream!
