DESCRIPTION

Alright, it's been a while since the last progress report, and I've been purposely holding off just so I could make a bigger one where I talk about Chapter 5.

I'll still be staying a bit elusive, as there's a peculiarity about this chapter that I'll be teasing later, but we still have a lot to talk about.

This chapter is one I've been wanting to do since the very beginning of the game (or at least since I decided I would include anime-themed chapters like this). So needless to say, a lot of thought has gone into it.

Because of how the chapter works, I'm well aware it will be a divisive one for my audience (yes, you lovely people). Some of you will absolutely love it, while others might not enjoy it as much. Despite knowing this, I still want to make the chapter the way I originally envisioned it.

If I were to give a small hint about the peculiarity I mentioned earlier, it would be this:

This chapter takes place in a school so it’s loosely meant to parody visual novels.

(That said, since I’d rather avoid making a full game inside the game, it’s going to remain very simplistic.)Take from that what you will.

Now... since this is a chapter I've been dying to work on and since it features probably one of my favorite manga rosters of all time (MHA is just goated, and could’ve been the best manga ever if it didn’t rush so much and actually expanded on the school thematics with more training arcs — imagine an exchange semester arc. Damn...)but I digress.

What I wanted to say is : this chapter is where I'm letting myself go a bit overboard. It’s already planned to be the chapter with the most content in the entire game... and yet I keep adding more unnecessary stuff whenever I get a good idea.

However, since this is still just one chapter, it won’t be able to fully explore everything that's introduced. I had to actively stop myself from turning it into an overcomplicated mess.

That doesn’t change the fact that while I’m super eager to make this chapter, I’m also kind of dreading it, because it’s going to be way harder to build than usual. All the RPG Maker eventing is going to be a lot more complex, and I’ll have to plan way ahead (which I don’t usually do).

All that’s left is to hope I’m able to deliver what I have in mind and that the complexity of it doesn’t end up ruining what I want to do.Now that was a lot of text. If you've read through all that, well... as usual :Thanks a lot for the continued support !
