DESCRIPTION

So there I was, innocently engaging in that time-honored tradition of the morning catch-up call with my sister. I’m standing in the kitchen, half-awake, stirring a pot of bubbling oats like a domestic deity, while she’s regaling me with the latest "literary" gems she’s unearthed.

Then, she brings up this—and I use the term loosely—book.

It’s about a "milking farm." Now, a normal sibling might leave it at the title, but not her. No, she decides to go full National Geographic narrator, but for high-octane women’s erotica. She’s leaning into the descriptions, getting aggressively graphic with a level of detail that would make a Victorian ghost faint.

Just as she hits the "Milking the Minotaurs" plot twist, I’m standing there with a heavy carton of cream poised directly over my bowl. My brain makes a series of rapid, unfortunate connections. I look at the cream. I think of the minotaurs. I look back at the cream.

The visual harmony was shattered.

I didn't even pour it. I just let out this long, weary sigh—the kind of sigh that carries the weight of a thousand ruined breakfasts—and slowly twisted the cap back onto the carton with clinical precision.

"I don't want cream in my oatmeal anymore," I announced, my voice deadpan and defeated.

The immediate, cackling explosion of laughter on the other end confirmed it. The little gremlin knew exactly what she was doing. She’d weaponized a centaur-adjacent farm fantasy to gatekeep my own dairy intake, and honestly? She won.

And that's why there's minotaurs in today's post. I am truly sorry.
