Obviously this comic heavily simplifies Tigress' backstory, largely because I am KEENLY AWARE we are men of culture who appreciate boobs and boxing, so I broke the rule of "show don't tell" when it comes to Ren Sakai, her coach and husband. Plus nano banana has been getting more puritanical as of late, so yakuza savagely beating a man within inches of his life and shattering his spine in a bloody alley beatdown frankly probably wasn't on the table anyway.
