Afternoon $4ers, wanted to get this out to you by Friday but the maps proved an absolute nightmare to make thanks to me losing the GPX data for the bus!
Some of the local buses round my way really do "go around the Wrekin" as the locals would put it. They're meander and take their time. So, Uncle Ed came up with the idea that we have a little race. Starting in my home city of Lichfield, Ed gets on the number 8 bus to the end of my Nan's street in Rushall, and I run the most direct route possible. Based on recent race times I was pretty sure I could run the 7.8 miles in the 57 minutes required, however with several busy junctions, two big hills and an overall uphill gradient for me to negotiate, this promised to be a really close race.
*Please excuse the strange looking camera effect on my chest cam. I didn't expect it to swing so much from side to side - what you see is a hell of a lot better than it was!*
SO WHAT'S NEXT? Well, this is effectively a warm up video for a much bigger and better $4 Tier video we'll be filming in two weeks called "MAN VS KAYAK" which involves me racing Ed (who's on a kayak) 15 miles through the countryside (no roads style!) - We can expect this in 4 weeks, but I'm going to get something else done for you before then too.
