Patreon Tutorial #47 - NES Game Project - Part 4
DESCRIPTION

In part 4 I will be starting off back inside of Houdini to re-test our Moi3D model fixes. Unfortunately, while it improved significantly the look of our refraction there was still an issue with a few pieces. So I quickly used the boolean tools in Moi3D to merge back in a few of those pieces which fixed it. After inspecting the model for any other problems, it seems like everything is ready for the UV stage.

I dive into RizomUV next and explain some of the UI layout for new users. RizomUV is a very powerful and feature-rich tool specifically built for UVs. It is also inexpensive for a perpetual license, so if you can support a small indie team I recommend it. I start by showing the most common tools and how to quickly UV our objects using the magic wand tool, selection copying, pinning, unfolding, packing across multiple objects, and more.

RizomUV makes the UV process a lot more fun and fast compared to other tools which is why I love it. In the end, we will have some UV'd assets ready for export to begin the texturing stage in our next tutorial. Thanks again guys for all the support, Have a great day!
