This video has a simple idea, but I tried some different things here and experimented a good deal.
First, The Star Patron tier voted for the slo-mo stuff to be "very" slow. I recorded almost everything in slo-mo, and I took advantage of it a lot during editing. There are even some parts where Alexis' voice sounds deeper than I'd usually have it, but it does add to the sense of scale.
Then, I decided to include several extended up-close POV scenes in this one rather than the typical distant 3rd-person angles. I also wanted some of the POV action to feel more dramatic and exaggerated instead of just quick and realistic.
On that note, I went with a little bit of a different style of audio and made some new music that is sort of surreal and dream-like. I really put a lot into the sound design and I recommend listening to it LOUD.
Finally, I used some more-visible ant-sized tiny people, where I've been doing a lot of "micro" stuff in other videos lately. At the very least, it definitely helps show off their little animations better.
