Ever since I started doing my own print-at-home postage (probably more than fifteen years, now) it's let me add a little graphic to the address. And for probably close to the last decade, for the holiday season I've added a Santa hat to the Doc-icon. :)
I do the postage on a B&W laser, so I color in the hat with a red Sharpie, just for a little extra pizazz.
Generally I'll switch to that logo around or just after Halloween, and I'll run it to the end of the year. (And yeah, I've considered doing ones for Halloween and Thanksgiving, too. :) )
It being the very last day of the year, and with the last two orders of the year now out the door, it's time once again to switch back to the staid old boring Doc. :D
Oh, and, as of today, all the books have been shipped! Well, with a little asterisk- I got one return, which I'm waiting to hear back from the buyer ("unknown address") I have one order for the older books that I'm still sketching, and one very personalized sketch I still need to sit down and figure out. (It needs reference materials. And no, it doesn't involve boobs. :) )
I do apologize for how long it took, but besides taking longer than expected to sketch and properly wrap and pack these things, the guys at the PO limited me on the number I could bring in each day, since it takes so long to enter the customs info.
I'll have more to write about all that here shortly, but save for a few specials, this book run is finally complete! Thank you all, and Happy New Year!
Doc.
