Another commissioned work update! Still no news about the Pixiv situation, though. By the way, if you watch the Uchuu Keiji series, some of these images might look familiar to you. On a sad note, Kenji Oba, the actor who played the original Uchuu Keiji Gavan, has passed away. May our Space Sheriff rest in peace.
Regarding the design, it’s actually an original character, but I wanted to pay homage to the originals by mixing elements from the original Gavan, Sharivan, Shaider, Spielvan and Jaspion, while keeping that familiar G9mp touch. Fun fact: the person who commissioned this is a massive Zerion fan, so that's why some of the character details might look a little similar. Fingers crossed this project delivers the same great energy!
I also want to be fully transparent here: for this project, I'm using AI tools just to upscale the pictures and generate some background/VFX effects. The commissioner agreed to this to help speed up the process. But I can guarantee that AI is only used for those specific purposes—the artwork itself is definitely not 100% AI-generated.
