DESCRIPTION

Hey hey hope ur all keeping well. here are sum new things.

got asked to draw up a little A5 pamphlet for the Solidarity and Defence Fund last week. The group is well worth a look-in i reckon. It's a democratically managed solidarity fund, supporting people taking a stand and trying to keep activists out of jail. it's been going since 2017 i think. fingers crossed that the group will become a kinda institution into the future.

issue 236 of Overland's print journal just came out. they let me draw the cover, and three new comics. u can buy the new edition here if u like.

Rejigged the above double-page comic from print to make this scrappy web version:

the article about the right to strike and the rail workers, that i sent thru a little while ago, has been published here under the title 'What became of the right to strike'. the Rail Tram and Bus Union have been using the associated drawings for their campaign, which has been sick

you can follow the RTBU's social media if u want to stay in the loop of their campaign.

some of the worlds worst climate criminals have decended on melbourne this week for the annual International Mining and Resources Conference. 24 different leftist groups (!) have come together to try to blockade and shut down the conference. it's a pretty impressive coming-together, groups that have never worked together, some who hav literally never even worked with any other group, even.

there are lots of ways to get involved, aside from physically blocking the convention centre, if u didnt wanna be part of that - marshalling, spotting, first aid, info, media, support crew etc. if u head along to the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre between now and thursday, there is an info tent set up, u can just rock up, put ur hand up and get involved. apparently tomorrow (tuesday) is the most important day, if ur up for heading along but can only make it on one day.

this feral simpsons video they made is very good imo.

climate stuff can feel so amorphous and blobby, so this push is a good tangible thing to sink ur teeth into, i reckon, if u have the capacity :-)

my good friend Ben Juers printed the following four colour risograph print last wk, im sickened with love for it. i think you'll be able to get a copy of the riso from the glom press store soon if u want. it will also be printed as the back page of this weeks Workers Solidarity bulletin, which comes out on Wednesday. this next issue also has work from Mary Leunig in it, and the usual drill-core sample of things happening around town. u can sign up to receive the fortnightly bulletin via email here.

thanks for the continued support ! <3
