IDW penciller Adam Bryce Thomas introduced Lanolin's mother in a throwaway sketch as an inside look in Lanolin's family life. It's still considered unofficial as there aren't plans made to look more into Lanolin's personal life in the IDW Sonic publication. At least as of now.
