I’ve gone ahead and done something I had no plans of doing. After completing the dialogue for the goblin comic, I made the insane decision of “...why stop here?” I dusted off the old video editing software, went back to the pages without dialogue, then made a separate movie version out of them with voice acting and everything.
The movie version is similar to og goblin animation in that it’s all vocalizations and atmosphere sounds. I think it’s a fun way to make things accessible to non english speakers. I committed absolutely way too much time to it, but in doing so, I feel I’ve learned a new skill. I really sunk my teeth into the editing and tried to add transitions and camera shakes to make the action feel more alive. I’d love to know what you think of the result. Maybe it turned out great, maybe it’s complete shit, maybe I could try video editing some future illustration sets to look more fluid+lively.
