Hi everyone,
I’ve put together a pretty chunky December art pack. It features a mix of things, including commissions and gift art. Among the pile is a throwback scene to my old Powerplay comic when Drake met Sethan.
I’ve always been hesitant to include commissions of other people’s OCs in my patreon packs. Even here, I’ve kept it to a minimum. I personally wouldn’t like it if an artist I supported did that. That said, if I continued with my way of thinking, I’d end up withholding some Drake art from you guys, which doesn’t make sense. So… Here’s the pack. The Frankenstein drawing isn’t in it. It’s been a frustrating one to work on, so I scrapped it. I’ll try now to shift my mind to Chaos Xmas.
Onto to the… other stuff…
There’s a big reason behind why I took on commissions in autumn. I've put every penny I’ve earned from them towards building a site/platform which I hope might alleviate some of the frustration caused by AI. I’m due to get the prototype of the site delivered next Friday. From there, I’ll submit everything to a payment processor to see if they’ll approve it.
I really don’t know if what I’m doing here is a huge mistake. It certainly won’t solve the issue of theft. I don’t know if the idea even has any potential good in it. I don’t know if it will make any impact at all. What I know is that I’ve been sitting with my feelings on the issue for over a year now, clearing away my reactive thoughts to try to find a way forward. Whatever my project amounts to, whether it’s positive or mired in backlash, it’s a step I have to take.
I’m looking forward to releasing it so I can turn my mind back towards creating art.
