Sethan and Drake won the poll with the DC fanart taking second place.I've just posted the Sethan/Drake drawing to Drake's Club and the reaction has been that it gives off big Power Play vibes.
Power Play is an old comic and a project I never finished. Back when I was drawing it, I had mapped out how the next chapter, Power Play 3, would play out. It would not have been a nail-biter... It's pretty obvious to any reader what was about to go down.
Now that I've started setting up this Sethan x Drake reversal, I feel a bit conflicted. I imagine Sethan doing things I wanted Thade to do in the old comic. If I go ahead with this, it would be like hammering the last nail into the coffin of the original run. That said, Power Play has been on ice so long that really... Does it even matter anymore? I've generally tried to be consistent with how the stories of these muscle boys develop in this fantasy realm. I don't really want Sethan upstaging Thade, but with the Labyrinthe story expanding things in different directions and my own shifting sexual tastes, this whole world is becoming a bit unwieldly. It feels like the dynamics between characters now take precedence over any kind of chronology.
Yes -- I realize I'm being way too thinky-perfectionist about this. We want dick, muscle and thongs. I just needed to get the thoughts out there. I can always revisit Thade's Power Play conclusion if the mood strikes.
