This year has been a little weird here on my Patreon. We started out pretty strong with “Crew Maintenance”, the first few pages of “Jackals and Tests”, and the first few illustrations for DarkEnds’ “Mortal Deceptions”, but very little movement has been made on the flagship comic or the characters for it. Let’s have a chat about it.
Jackals and Tests
-I’ll be frank: I’ve written myself into a corner and don’t know what to do with it.
In 2025, I hit a wall. Not only did I write myself into a corner with Jackals and Tests, but I ran out of steam and enthusiasm for the character dynamics that I have going on currently. Judging by the numbers and comments, they aren’t very popular with my audience either. With this in mind, I think it’s time to re-evaluate the comic and its direction under a harsh, white light and I’m considering hiring onboard a script-doctor/writer to help get it moving again.
There will still be content as I work my way through this mess I’ve made...of course, the Noemi dakimakura design and loop animation are being worked on, and for the first couple months in the New Year I’ll be focusing on-
Mortal Deceptions
- I’ll be dedicating Bimester 1 in 2026 to completing the illustrations for this story. It’s all pretty hypno-heavy so it’ll be on Subscribestar! Of course I’ll be posting whatever I can do without getting banned on Patreon as well.
Commissions/ Openings
- At the moment, I still have projects pending for FallenAltair, Skywoof, and Synariel. Once I’ve had a chance to tackle these lovely goobers I’ll open the form again for some fresh commission requests!
Store Reopening and Stock
- For the moment, three sections of the store are up and running- sex toys, figurines, and books. All are available for purchase! Two sections of the store remain down: Dakimakura and General Merch (stickers/ standees etc.)
I’m stocking the General Merch store as best I can right now. It’s close to the holidays so everything’s bogged down until Christmas comes and goes. I’ve already got stickers ready to go, and I’ll have bag-charms, standees and bag patches available as well as soon as the Christmas rush subsides.
As for Dakimakura, they’re a lot harder. I’ve done a LOT of them over the years. They’re bulky and expensive to stock, which is why I prefer to drop-ship. Unfortunately, the trade-war going on as well as an inconvenient change to the accounting rules in the UK, it’simpractical to deal with waifu pillows for the time being.
I’m in the process of restructuring my business to tackle the accounting rules change and stay compliant with tax regulations. Furthermore my manufacturer has already switched shipping partners to be more compliant with updated USPS shipping regulations, which means fewer (if any) destroyed packages once they reach Stateside.
With these two things done, it should be possible to return to drop-shipping dakis like I used to pretty soon. I’ll keep you all updated!
2026 Conventions
At the moment, I’ve got my eye on Megaplex, Anthrocon, and Midwest Fur Fest, depending on whether I’m approved for a Dealer’s Den table at any of them. I’m sorry to say that as a “Legacy” artist , the convention circuit is pretty hard due to cons favoring the new blood over the old salts like me in the Dealer’s rooms. I’ll keep you posted as to whether I’m able to go to any of these.
The bottom line is: I understand that progress is slow and I’m working to fix that.
