The realization of what happened that night settled over Rin the day after her first experiment with Beast Magecraft. The Magecraft had deeply latched onto Saber when Caster's Rule Breaker had altered the knight's Spirit Origin with a new rule, as a ever lasting effect in case Saber freed herself from the contract forced upon by Caster, it would curse Saber, one that binds her to the full moon to take the form of a golden beast.
It was a cruel twist, but Rin, ever the pragmatic magus saw some use. If Saber was tethered to this power, they could use it, it was only matter of mastering it, and so they came to an agreement of coming together for the next full moon.
But one day it came to her a thought, Sakura could use it. Her body was now fragile after years of the family tormenting her. Rin theorized that by using the Beast Magecraft like she once did, they could channel that vitality into Sakura, overwriting the decayed circuits with the unyielding strength of the beast. It meant Sakura would be healed, and now Saber wouldn't have to face the curse alone.
They descended to the basement workshop, now baring yukatas that Rin had provided. They knelt within the massive, interconnected tri-circle etched in glowing mercurial silver, the same one Rin had used for her own experiment, "Are you certain of this, Tohsaka?" Saber asked, with the blue yukata hung loosely on her small frame before her hands stripped her from it.
*I am to be a monster again, in front of friends, but to save Sakura from her pain... it is a small price.*
"It will hurt," Rin said bluntly, looking across the silver lines at her sister while she pulled the long sleeves off. "But it will burn out what's wrong within Sakura. Saber and I will be here sharing the burden with her."
Sakura clutched the lapels of her blue yukata, pulling the clothing down until it pooled down her feet, her violet eyes darting between the two older girls. "I trust you, Nee-san. I don't want to be this weakened anymore, and I wish to see how this magecraft is like, I was intrigued when you told me about it"
"Then let's begin," Rin commanded as she kneeled. She closed her eyes and let her prana flare, a deep red aura igniting around her.
The resonance caught instantly, "Ggh!" Rin gasped, the familiar, scalding heat rushing into her blood.
Sakura let out a breathless cry, "Aah! It burns!" She collapsed forward, her hands slapping against the stone.
"Hold on, Sakura! I try... To go slow...!" Rin grunted, her swelling shoulders shaking as dark, coarse black fur grew along her forearms. "Ggraaah!" she growled, her spine arching violently as her tailbone pushed outward.
Beside her, Saber was panting heavily, her natural curse was starting to change her. "Haaah... haaah..." She tried to brace herself, but the force was overwhelming. Hugging her small chest as her frame packed on dense muscle with a mane of golden fur sprouting from her collarbone. "Rrrgh!" Saber’s hands hit the floor, already shifting into paws.
But it was Sakura who took the brunt of the resonance, the trauma embedded in her flesh was being violently expelled and replaced.
"AaAAAAh!" Sakura’s scream dissolved into a deep growl. The fur and muscles spread over her body, slowly and painfully cleansing her veins, "Ggrrrrr..." Sakura’s face deformed, her jaw popping loudly as it pushed forward.
The three women writhed on the floor, "Awwrooo!" Saber threw her head back, letting loose a howl.
Sakura pushed herself up onto all fours, she was taller than Saber, she flexed her long curved claws then looked at Rin and Saber. "Grrraow?" Sakura rumbled, her silver tail wagged slowly, tentatively.
Rin stepped forward and bumped her snout gently against Sakura’s neck, taking in the scent of her sister, no longer smelling of rotting earth and worms, but of clean snow and ozone.
The Beast Magecraft had worked perfectly.
