We've all been horrified by the mass shooting which occurred recently in Uvalde, Texas. Many important conversations need to be had, but one important fact under scrutiny is that the local police stood by and let it happen, or worse even prevented parents from going in and rescuing their children themselves. Exploring why that happened takes us into the dark and twisted history of policing and what their real job is.
