I just finished Brecht Evens's graphic novel The City of Belgium, about three young people spinning out and trying to find themselves in Brussels' vibrant nightlife scene.
I went into this one with very particular expectations, and left a little disappointed in the story, but that's not the book's fault. If you're willing to take it for what it is, great news – it's one of the most gorgeous books I've ever laid eyes on. Unbelievably vibrant, stylish, and experimental.
