Hello everyone, how’s it going on this fine morning/afternoon/evening? Another Monday, another PoL, another proof that I’m alive and working on the game. Although maybe I’ve been kidnapped by aliens and replaced by one of them? Why would aliens do that, you may ask? Well, ask them, not me! But replaced by an alien or not, I’ll make sure to keep you updated on the game’s progress.
The past week has been kind of a weird mix of testing, creating maps, and developing the story, depending on my mood.
With the Triple Trident tournament happening in parallel with the story, I can basically work on it whenever I want, so I’ve been doing a lot of that while waiting for commissions to catch up with the story. I would playtest the game up to the part that still has placeholders, then shift my focus to the tournament instead.
So, the good news is that the “main part” of the tournament is done. All opponents have been implemented, and I’ve tested most of them. Honestly, they’re not that hard to beat. I’ve also finished writing the “winning” part, where Leto wins and saves Charlotte, and I’m currently in the middle of writing the scene that happens if he loses. Whether you win or lose, or whether you’re in partial PoV or omni PoV, the scene will be unlocked in the reminiscence room, so you don’t have to lose on purpose to see it.
The bad news is that, at best, Cyanna’s new portrait will be sent to me in the second half of June (at the earliest), so I’m not sure if it’ll make it into the update. We’ll see, but I’m not going to wait for it to release the game.
I think that’s about it for this PoL. For those who aren’t interested in Triple Trident, I apologize for focusing so much on it, but I’ll most likely be entirely done with it in the next few days so I can go back to working solely on the story. Also, the screenshot is unrelated to Triple Trident. Cyanna didn't hurt herself playing a card game, this isn't Yu-Gi-Oh! (more like Yu-Gi-H*e!, hehe)
