I again just want to thank you all directly for sticking it out during the making of "The Chase." I have been attempting to transition into creating pseudo graphic novel caliber work since "Thrill Seeker," and it hasn't been easy, particularly in the department of generating support for my long form work.
As most of you know, 2023's "The Chosen One" was intended to serve as the official introduction to "The Velluto Duo," and it unfortunately was entirely derailed due to a huge loss in my family. I have been unable to return to the comic since; the sketches seem to transport me back to an agonizing era of my life, not to mention it would be difficult to recapture the tone of that era of my work through the current style. However the closing events of the comic are being readapted for TVD.
Long time patrons have witnessed me dive into and pull back from TVD multiple times now throughout the years, and I feel it may finally stick this time. I believe "Sydney" was an awesome start, and I look forward to completing the phase's following two chapters "Sammy Jr." and "Dr. Schneider" sometime after the completion of "The Chase," but it is going to be an insane grind.
I am a little weary right now churning out this arc, but I am highly motivated to complete what I hope will be my most spectacular canon comic to date. Just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to y'all. Literally none of it is possible without y'all. I have no intentions of abandoning the goofy Elk Hunt style one offs, but it's been important to me for a lot of years to bring this story and imagery to life. I am blessed to have an awesome crew here helping to make that happen. Y'all are the best. More updates on the way! <3
