Wow, look at that, I actually managed to get the poll story done without it taking near until the end of the month this time! Here's hoping that bodes well for things to come. This story was so much fun to write, I am really grateful to Anailater, the winner of the roulette, for giving me an opportunity to debut an OC that I've had in the works for a while. I plan on writing a bio for her soon hopefully, it'll depend on how long it takes for me to get a decent reference image of her drawn. Pam Isla is a young, petite goth girl with a passion for reading making a visit to one of her favorite places to be, her city's library. As luck, good or ill, would have it, she happens to walk in mere seconds before one of the most peculiar woman in the city, but also one of the most... normal. Normal, mundane, boring, ordinary... These are all words that could be used to describe Kim Chaerin, or "Rin" as most people know her, a immigrant to the United States hailing from South Korea. She wouldn't be offended by any of them, in fact she wears them with pride.
A monochrome woman with a monotone voice, Rin has an uncanny knack for sucking the color, uniqueness and whimsy out of just about anywhere she goes, or anyone she gets her hands on. Having spent her entire life prioritizing politeness, decency, and being a productive member of society, she developed a unique set of powers and with them a subtle drive to bring order back to what she sees as a chaotic and disorderly society. Pam, consistently frustrated by the noisy and erratic people she's surrounded with all day, hits it off quite well with Rin, and the two instantly form a budding friendship. But it won't take long to realize just how much her new friend's normal influence will rub off on her, and by the time it does, it might be too late for her to save anything strange or quirky about herself...
