DESCRIPTION

Alright, now this is more like it, I actually got the story finished and posted within a couple days of the end of the month! It's still not as early as I'd prefer to be finishing these stories, but progress is progress. This story will be released to the public on Monday, June 29th.

After a long and arduous journey, Link has restored the Divine Beasts, claimed the Master Sword back, and overall restored a sense of hope back into the people of Hyrule. The only thing left to do now is strike down Calamity Ganon itself and finally rescue Zelda! But before he can do that, the Sheikah Slate presents him with a final instruction: go back to the Shrine of Resurrection for one last treatment to put him in top shape for the final battle.

Near the entrance, he happens to get into a fight with a group of Bokoblins. Absolute child’s play, but they do end up making quite a mess, so by the time he's lying down inside, he's still covered in Bokoblin blood and guts... He thinks nothing of it, in fact knowing how useful Sheikah technology is, he figures it’ll just wash him up while it’s topping him off. However, when the system scans him, the layer of gunk coating him causes it to register him as a Bokoblin, a female Bokoblin no less, and with its primary directive of "restore to top condition,” it immediately goes to work “restoring” him to those parameters.

The change is total, the Bokoblin that emerges remembers nothing about her prior life as Link, all the memories of his journey are gone, she barely even has the concept of language left, being a creature mostly driven by her instincts. That being said, when she stumbles out of the chamber and finds the Master Sword, seeing no significance in it beyond being a shiny and pointy object that caught her attention, she’s still able to pick it up and wield it without issue! It still responds to her and the hero’s spirit that still resides within her body. In spite of everything that's changed about her, she is still worthy... somehow.

Not long afterwards, Zelda is finally able to return to Hyrule in the flesh, after so many decades spent using her magic to keep Ganon at bay. She felt "Link" arrive before the fight, right as her strength gave out, but because she was primarily sensing him through the Triforce rather than physically seeing or hearing him (“Link’s” lack of words not exactly raising any suspicion), she’s unaware of the change that’s come over him, or rather, her. Even so, she still got the sense that something felt off about him. It hardly mattered to her at first, since he nonetheless vanquished Ganon and allowed them to be reunited...!

Only for her to open her eyes and find herself face to face with the very affectionate female Bokoblin that actually saved her and defeated the Great Calamity... somehow. Link may have turned into a grubby monster, but she was still the hero chosen by the Master Sword, and the wielder of the triforce of courage! So miraculously, she still managed to overcome and defeat Ganon, admittedly with a lot of help from the Divine Beasts and the Four Champions. Zelda is shocked to say the least… But after taking a moment to collect herself, she concludes that while Link isn’t exactly what she remembered, or expected, she still did save Hyrule, and does seem to "recognize" her as her beloved mate… Why not? She can work with this! Besides, she’s always been curious to see if Bokoblins can be educated or civilized.

Once again, this story will be released to the public on Monday, June 29th. Please do not share this story until that time, thank you once again for your support, and enjoy!
