ESCAROT

Frieza's fingers tightened around Okara's skull, and I watched her face change. Her hands were still clawing at his wrist, but the movements were slower now.

"Ah, there it is," Frieza said, tilting his head. "That look. I've seen it thousands of times. That little moment where the fight leaves the eyes and all that's left is the animal underneath, realizing it's about to be put down. It's my favorite part, honestly. The begging usually comes next, but something tells me you're too proud for that. Pity. I do enjoy the begging."

He squeezed, and tears streamed down her face.

"Don't worry, little monkey. I’ll make sure to enjoy this to the fullest, Ohohohoho~" He glanced at me, still frozen in his telekinesis, and smiled. "Your king seems to have nothing to say. How disappointing. Oh well, don’t worry little one, he will join you in hell soon after!"

Okara's scream tore out of her as Frieza laughed, and something in me stopped.

I stopped fighting the telekinesis.

I stopped fighting everything.

And in that stillness, in that state of total desperation — it came. Tearing through every layer, through every wall, through every part of me that had ever tried to stay controlled like a tidal wave, and as I opened my mouth the sound that came out made the planet tremble.

"FRIEZAAAAA!!!"

The ground split beneath my feet.

My aura came up in violent waves — green first, wild and feral, and then gold as lightning cracked through it and slammed into the earth in every direction.

When the roar died the silence was absolute. Gold light rolled off me in waves, as I looked at Frieza with nothing but absolute rage and the desire to make him suffer.

“What is this–”

I moved.

One moment I was standing in front of Frieza, the next my hand was around his wrist — the one holding Okara's head — squeezing as hard as he had done to Okara.

Frieza's fingers opened.

Okara dropped. She hit the ground and rolled, gasping, hand on her head where the bruises were already forming. But she didn't get up right away. She just knelt there, staring at me.

I kept squeezing.

Frieza dropped to one knee. A sound came out of him — not a scream, not yet, that would come soon, but something close to it. The bones in his wrist were grinding together under my grip, and I wasn't even trying. I wasn't even at full strength yet, I could squeeze much harder if I wanted, and yet his arm was already giving out like it was made of paper.

"Leave," I said through gritted teeth, looking at Okra.

Okara didn't move.

“NOW!”

She stood. Slowly. Still staring.

Then she teleported, and she was gone.

I let go of his wrist.

Frieza cradled his wrist, staggering back, teeth bared. “You insolent vermin!”

"Show me your full power," I said, staring at him.

He looked up at me.

"What?"

"You heard me. Power up. All of it. One hundred percent. I'm giving you one chance."

The words hit him like a slap. His eye twitched. His tail stiffened. The indignity of it — being told to power up by a monkey, being given permission like a child being told to try harder — crawled across his face in real time.

"You dare—" He lunged.

His fist hit my face.

My head tilted, but there was no pain. His punch — the same kind of punch that had been putting me on the ground all fight — landed clean and did absolutely nothing.

Frieza stared at his own fist like it couldn’t be real.

I took a breath and kicked him.

My foot sank into his stomach past the knee, through flesh and muscle, forcing the outline of my sole to push outward against the skin of his back before his body caught up with what had happened and launched off my leg like a bullet towards a nearby mountain.

I lowered my foot, and waited.

Rubble shifted, stone fell. And from inside the wreckage, Frieza emerged. Blood pouring from his mouth, clutching his stomach, legs shakin as he hovered in the air.

"Power up," I said. "Or die, I won’t repeat myself again."

"If you're so eager to die," Frieza said, wiping blood from his chin, "then I will gladly oblige."

He planted his feet. His aura flared — purple and violent — and then it changed. His body began to swell. Muscles expanding, veins bulging, his frame packing on mass like he was inflating from the inside. The ground beneath him buckled under the sheer weight of his power output, cracks racing outward in every direction, and the sky above darkened as if the planet itself was recoiling from him.

One hundred percent.

His buff form. The one I'd seen in the anime, the one that had pushed Goku’s Super Saiyan. The full, unrestrained power of the Emperor of the Universe.

"Ohohohoho~ It's over, monkey. All over. I'm going to savor your despair. Every last drop of it."

He attacked.

His fist came at me with everything he had — one hundred percent, no holding back, the full might of the so called universe's most powerful being packed into a single punch.

It connected.

I moved barely an inch. My head shifted slightly from the impact, nothing more.

Frieza's eyes went wide.

I looked at him. Then I punched him in the stomach, the imprint of my knuckles pushed through his torso and bulged out the other side, clear as day, every ridge and crease visible through his back. Frieza doubled over my arm, mouth open wheezing in pain.

I pulled my fist out and let him drop.

"You're a disappointment," I said, backhanding him across the field.

FRIEZA

He was walking toward me. One step at a time, gold light rolling off him in waves, green eyes fixed on me like I was already dead, like I was nothing! Me! The strongest being in the universe!

The ground cracked under his feet with each step.

My body was screaming at me. Every muscle, every nerve, every fiber of my being was telling me the same thing — run. This was wrong. This was impossible. I was at my full power. My absolute maximum. One hundred percent, using the power that had made me the undisputed ruler of the universe, the heir to everything!

And it wasn't enough.

No. That wasn't right. It wasn't just "not enough." It was nothing. Less than nothing. That last punch — the one I'd put everything into — had moved him an inch. One inch. After all the power I'd gathered, all the energy I'd spent, I'd moved him one inch and he'd looked at me like I was disappointing him.

“No, no, no!” I hissed under my breath.

I was… afraid?!

My heart was pounding — actually pounding, like a prey animal's, weak and fast and pathetic. My hands were trembling. My tail was trembling. Everything was trembling.

I was afraid.

Of a Saiyan.

The disgust hit me almost as hard as the fear itself. Me. Lord Frieza. Emperor of the Universe. Afraid. Of a monkey. A low-class, filthy, tail-swinging monkey who should have been groveling at my feet.

No.

No. I refused. I refused to accept this. I was Lord Frieza. I did not feel fear. I did not run. I did not beg. I had killed billions. Trillions. I had ended species, destroyed planets, reshaped the galaxy in my image. One Saiyan was not going to undo all of that.

I gathered every scrap of power I had left and launched myself at him.

My arm swung. Full force. Everything. I put my entire existence behind that single strike, and for one brief, beautiful moment, I thought it might actually work.

He caught my arm.

His fingers closed around my wrist and I felt the bones shift. Not crack — shift. Like they were being rearranged inside my skin. Then he pulled.

The sound came first. A wet, tearing sound that I felt more than heard, vibrating through my whole body. Then the pain. White, blinding, absolute. I looked down and my arm was in his hand. My arm. Separated from my body at the shoulder, blood spraying from the stump in thick pulses, and he was holding it like it was a toy he'd gotten bored of.

He dropped it.

I screamed.

I couldn't help it.

The pain was beyond anything I'd ever experienced, beyond anything I'd imagined was possible. My vision went white, then red, then white again. My remaining hand clutched the stump uselessly as blood poured between my fingers.

"Wait—" I choked out. I hated it. Hated myself for saying it. But the words kept coming anyway, driven by something primal and desperate that I had no control over. "Wait. Please."

He didn't stop.

"I'll leave! I'll leave the Saiyans alone — I swear it! I'll change — I'll be different — you have my word, I won't touch another Saiyan as long as I live, just please—"

His foot connected with my chest.

The kick launched me sideways, tumbling through the air, blood trailing behind me in a long arc. I hit the ground and bounced, rolled, and came to a stop on my back, staring up at the red sky.

I was begging.

Lord Frieza. The terror of the universe. On my back in the dirt, missing an arm, begging a Saiyan for my life.

The disgust was worse than the pain.

“Please… I beg you… I’ll give you anything!”

ESCAROT

I stood over him.

He was lying in the dirt, missing an arm, blood pooling beneath him, staring up at me with eyes that had gone from cold and calculating to something small and desperate. This was supposed to be the most powerful enemy the Saiyans had, the terror of the universe. The Emperor.

He looked pathetic.

Through my anger, his display of weakness made me feel disgusted.

“No," I said.

He didn't answer. His mouth was moving but nothing was coming out. Or maybe I just didn’t care to listen.

"I thought about making it slow. Really, I did. You made Okara scream. You made me watch. You wanted to put up a show." I paused. "But honestly?"

I raised my hand. Ki gathered in my palm — dense, concentrated, enough to erase him from existence.

"You're not even worth torturing."

The blast hit him point-blank.

There was no explosion. No scream. Just a flash of light and a sound like air rushing into a vacuum, and then Lord Frieza — Emperor of the Universe, scourge of the Saiyan race, the most feared being in the galaxy — was gone.

Not even ash remained.
