DESCRIPTION

Hello my beloveds. I crawl on my broken tiktaalik fish thumbs to bring you some dungeon tiles to play with.

I have been chatting with the wonderful Mike Hutchinson (Gaslands and Spacegits!), and he said in order to improve my games design, and bring you new and exciting experiences, I should attempt to make some smaller games. Practise makes perfect after all. I am aiming to make a little self contained dungeon crawl, Turnip28: Pubcrawlers, you can bring to the pub and have fun with. With so many indie wargames out there, I'd like to make a singular craft project you can whip out for your friends that doesn't require them to invest into a whole army or a complex set of rules.Roll some dice, smash a few fish in their slimy faces with your mates, and go home. FDM Dungeon Tiles: I wanted to see what was possible with FDM printing before I make any Turnip terrain, so consider this set a first draft. I'm really happy with how they turned out, but would love to here some feedback. Is there any other shapes and sizes. I feel I need to find the perfect quantity of tiles that can dont take up too much space, but still give a lot of options for play. Trapdoors: I have also included a set of doors and trapdoors for you too. I found doors do not work very well with a grid system, so have settled on trapdoors to travel from area to area (thank you again Mike for the idea). I envision the Pubcrawlers, who have racked up an unpayable bar tab at the The Twisted Herring, have to descend into the depth of a multifloored mega slum and slay one of the many serial killers that have been plaguing the city and return to the surface before they are overwhelmed by the evil that dwells there. Every layer they descend, the closer they get to their prey and the swill, and the more horrific the world becomes.

Hoping to get something together for Spru this September to test out with you. Say hi, if you're going, we can playtest it together.Cast of Characters: I hope that this smaller size of game will allow me to flesh out more characters. This is the long suffering barmaid of the Twisted Herring, the public house where all the turnips trying to survive in Swill hang out. She doesn't have a name yet, but I think she would make a great narrator for the game.

The Swill colours work really nicely on turnips too. Here is one of the band of the worm pikemen in a swill top hat. Super simple conversion, and the perry spanish kits have a bunch of toppers if you want to kitbash your own and don't have a 3d printer.

Turnip Prisoners: I hope to have the next Turnip prisoner out this week, the Magician. I feel these villains would also make great opponents if we should fancy dungeon crawling in Cist. I've painted a few tiles in turnip colours... with obligatory tufts, and decorated it with some of Ana's (Garden of Hecate) amazing turnip conversions.

Dungeon Tile Delivery: I'll message you the link to the tiles (Tod's Folly Patrons). Thank you all so much for all your support! I can't wait to see what you do with these, and I hope this mini game practise will let me make more fun stuff for you in the future. HOT HOT HOT: WARNING WARNING WARNING I went out to dip my ankles in the sea, but when I came back some of the tiles warped completely in the sun. BE AWARE KEEP THEM OUT OF SUPER HOT DIRECT SUN FOR EXTENDED PERIODS. If they do warp you can bend them back into shape after soaking in hot water, but I was really surprised, they're chunky tiles and its never happened with anything else. Its just getting hotter and hotter.Anyway! That's enough rambling. Have a lovely summer. Catch you later this week with more goodies. - Max!
