Hey! This painting started out as something I intended to be a quick drawing, but I ended up liking it enough to put more work into it! I don't paint very beefy women that often. I might even never have done it before! So I figured it was about time. :) The backstory I've had in mind for this piece is that, while stopping by an inn, Luke's innocent casual flirting with an orc woman worked a bit better than he intended, and she dragged him out into the back alley for firm handshake. 👀

The painting process I've described in the past couple of posts continues to work really well. And now it's been nice to give it a try on a more detailed piece. It came together very painlessly, which I'm happy about.
I hope you guys enjoy the set of doodles I also added here! I've been trying to simplify the style as much as possible so I don't get caught up in how pretty the lines look or what the rendering in the sketch looks like. It's something I've been playing around with in the past (last time was a year and a half ago maybe?), and with recent developments in my workflow it felt natural to try returning to it. The intention is usually to do sketches I'm gonna paint over anyway, so the thin simple hard round brush with all settings turned off is kinda perfect for that. And a nice bonus is that it's a very software agnostic way of sketching. Even the simplest drawing software has the brush for it, and I could in a pinch even sketch like that using a mouse since it doesn't require pen pressure for anything. Maybe I should try that sometime.
