This time, I am publishing my post quite late, for which I apologize. However, this was not my choice, but due to circumstances beyond my control.
Now, let's talk about what I managed to accomplish. First of all, last week I completely finished working on three natural locations. The changes I made consisted of a complete redesign of the vegetation in accordance with the new requirements for the visual quality of the game. And although I can't say that I am completely satisfied with how it looks now, I had to force myself to stop working at this stage due to the extremely limited time I can devote to this work. By the way, you can see some of the renders above.
I also continued working on the script for the beginning of the game. This time, I added a few events to the beginning, before the departure. And now I have finalized the entire content of the new beginning of the game. Now it will consist of three stages: the first is the events at home before departure, where you can experience some pleasant moments with your family; the second is the arrival in a new city and small adventures with Sam and Maria; and the third stage is the first day of independent life, where there will be some pleasant encounters and adventures related to this. That's it in a nutshell, without any major spoilers...
My work on Maria's new appearance has led me to a creative impasse. I have tried several options, and none of them have fully satisfied me. I understand that I have not yet subconsciously decided how I want her to look. One option, which you can see below, partially meets my criteria, but nevertheless, it gives me the feeling that something is not quite right with her. I don't know, maybe it's unfinished and she's just missing some detail in her appearance, or maybe I need to change everything completely. And all this despite the fact that her image must necessarily include: long blonde hair; light, rather green eyes; fair skin; minimalism in jewelry. In short, I'm confused. Should I do something else with her, or do you like her the way she is? Please write your opinion, if you don't mind.
