In celebration of that certain holiday in the States, my next story goes fully patriotic. I was very inspired by the Tumblr blog @lovingbarbariancomputer for this one. If you haven't read his work definitely go check it out. I even reached out to him about a collab but didn't hear back. I teased out some of the primary themes from his work but put my own spin on it. Hope you enjoy.
Synopsis:
A closeted ex-soldier returns home injured, aimless, and hungry for something he is too afraid to name. His life plods forward in the traditional fashion with marriage and kids. Domesticity offers little meaning, so food fills the void until he can no longer deny his insatiable appetite. He swells into the prototypical fat, lazy American, unable to change his habits even if he wanted to.
