DESCRIPTION

October is known
for art:
on the walls
in hallways,
me.
In the fall
I let
my clothes drop
for you.
See the long brown
curls
down
my shoulders;
see the weight of
my chest;
see the bare leg
lifted.
There’s a darkness
along the
edge of the fabric
that keeps
the kink
of the curly hairs
tucked away
lower
you might see.
They
still paint like that,
and a
still life portrait
of me is
still worth a lot.
