I'm hitting the road this week, or hitting the rail, to do some talks and some research overseas! I'm looking for the great queer sitcoms of Europe and discovering ... wait a minute, why are there so few compared to the US? I've found a few theories about why European countries take a very different approach to broadcast comedy, but I don't think any of them tell the full story.
