Hello folks and welcome to a brief progress report!I've been largely out of commission post-Tuesday this week owing to my eye strain issues, which culminated in a doctor's visit, eye drops prescription and being told to stay away from bright screens for a little while. While I've occasionally dipped over to my computer to answer messages and write up some posts with my wife chasing me away right after, I've mostly spent my time in a dark room listening to podcasts and being otherwise bored out of my mind (can you read books with eye strain? my gut says it's ill advised), and have thus had little time to pursue project or comic work, but I am starting to feel better already so I shouldn't need long to properly recuperate. I really hope the bouts of twitching in my right eye's eyelid will go away as soon as possible.
My mouse is also giving up, after a good 13 years or so of service, so I'll be looking to get a new one as soon as possible. Pour one out for the G400S, folks, he was a true champion.
In actual news I've completely moved both the voting and character nomination portions away from Discord, and they are now on Patreon/Substar instead. I'm yet to decide whether to keep or remove old nomination period posts once they have passed, so as to keep things cleaner and make sure folks don't try to nominate on the wrong post (even if the title always will denote which month and year it is for, communication is hard). I've thus far opted to see about editing the current nomination period post once the nomination period ends, safety-copy all responses to them, before disallowing comments and then hoping that it doesn't just delete everyone's prior comments. We'll see how it goes, but if it works, that's that issue solved. Reckon I could comment on them myself before closing comments too, so as to really emphasize that the period is over. Speaking of.
